J: ya, the very same, she made me take leave today and shop, and this list looks likes hell, I hate shopping and now you see am stuck

A: let me see the list (she looks and adds) um, this is the usual things needed , rice, atta, soya beans, vegetables, eggs, I wil help you get it, even I have to get some

J: oh!! Arthi you are a life saver!!

As they were walking and picking up all the necessary things from the shelf arthi enquired

A: Jaggat? Can I discuss something with you?

J: sure arthi, feel free to say anything.

A: it is about uday

J: what is it arthi? Is he still going out alone, I told you na, to tell him to be careful. It is really not safe for him nowadays

A: I know that, he wont listen to me. But now iam worried about his behavior, I mean he is not the Uday who I had known all these years, he is now ... he is now CHANGED.

J: what sort of "change" , Arthi? (the police officer in jaggat was now awake)

A: Uday is highly distracted nowadays, you know na that day when you came (jaggat nods) we were fighting, it was because he forgot to bring Tani home, can you believe it? He forgot to pick up his own daughter!! When I enquired he said he was in office, but the office people said he had left office early, they told me uday left office at noon for many days and told them not to contact him. If he was not in office then where was he ... my question needed an answer , so , I decided to follow him

J: what arthi? Follow him!!!!!

A: ya, I did. He did not go straight to his office, he stopped in front of some shops and sat in his car for some 2 hours doing nothing, he did not even move a muscle, only after that did he go to office. He is changed,(tears in her eyes) he never used to shout at me!. That day he threatened to slap me if I don't stop my questioning. Nowadays he comes home drunk, he does not talk much to me or Tani, he is just so depressed. What should I do jaggat? I am totally confused

Jaggat comforts arthi, : don't worry arthi , we can sort all this soon. It could just be pressure at work ...

A: ... or it could be another woman , I don't know but my mind tells me like that, Jaggat could you help me to find about this

Jaggat thought for a while and said: Arthi, we don't have any evidence , so you cant just accuse your husband, I will look into the matter however, believe me. I will get to the bottom of this, before that can we complete this shopping?

Arthi wipes her tears and manages to give him small smile : ok

As they continued their shopping Jaggat thought: "Uday, it seems your present is as dirty as your past. You have not even changed 1 bit. More skeletons are likely to fall out from your closet soon!"

It was 3 days since Akash's funeral .Maya was now working as a sales lady in a book store. Uday came to know about it and decided to talk to her. He made his way passing by shelves of books to where she was standing. At first she did not notice him

U: maya? Can we talk , please?

M: am busy, unlike you I got to work for a living

U: maya, just for 5 minutes.

M: ok

U: I am very, very sorry for being such a Ass*ole at Akash's funeral. You know, when I saw you with that guy, I just don't know what happened me, I '

M: you were jealous?

U: yes , I was, I could not bear to see my love with someone else, it was just unacceptable to me, it is even now. Please Maya, give me another chance

M: uday, when did I become your "love"?

U: maya, please. I love you so much, more than my life, you know that last few days without you, I was like a mad man, please Maya, come back, give me one more chance please

Uday who was not used of getting things out of HIS control, pulled Maya into a forceful kiss, she did resist in the beginning, but then; the desire in her was too strong that she kissed him back. They parted after a few minutes.

(except some girls from north or hill stations like Simla; Manali; north east girls are fair but they looks bit like chinese)!!!! 🤓
