The phone ran thrice in her 'room' before she picked it up.
'Hello.'
'Tia?--' he couldn't continue speaking as a lump started forming in his throat.
'Yuvi? What's wrong?'
'Tia.. Tia, Ashi left.'
The first thought which ran through her mind was 'Shit', as she dropped the receiver she was holding, and leaned against a door to close her eyes. Ashi has gone.. that meant she knew about them.. that meant she had given up everything for her husband.. she couldn't think anymore, as she started crying. Minutes later, she had controlled herself, and going out of the room, she started on the road. The weather seemed to match her moods, as it was cloudy and dark, and huge drops of rain were threatening to fall. Even though it was Paris, she knew where Ashi would go. And she planned to go there.

She was sitting on her suitcase, waiting for the train to come. People passing by gave her weird looks, mainly because of the tears streaking down her face and her extremely clammy hands which she was clenching and unclenching. And then she heard the distant announcement that the train was coming, and she stood up to gather her belongings.
'ASHI!' she whirled around as the shout came from behind her, and she froze. She knew that voice, she knew that attire, and she knew that person. She turned around abruptly, breathing hard. Just because she had divorced her love for them, it doesn't mean she could be all cheerful for them. She turned back and forced a smile.
'Hi Tia.'
But she would have none of the small talk. 'Ashi, what the hell are you doing here? Come back home, Yuvi needs you. You know how miserable he has been after you left? Ashi come back. He needs you.'
Her face hardened as she replied, 'No, Yuvi doesn't need me anymore. I know everything about you both, and I have given him the divorce papers which he should sign and marry you. Now please go back and tell him that. I'm going to miss my train.'
'Ashi, please come back.'
'No Tia. Now it's the start of your life. Go back to him and marry him. You'll be very happy together.. both of you. I know it. Just promise me one thing, Tia, that if you ever fall out of love with him, call me back.' She smiled.
Even through her tears, Tia chuckled as she replied, 'I promise.'
The train blew out the warning whistle. 'I've got to go.' Said Ashi, 'take care.' And then she boarded the train and was gone.
Tia looked back at Ashi, and she at him. They both looked through each other, and broke down walls to find the same anger, compassion, and love flowing through each others' veins. And at that moment, they knew whatever happened, they were always friends. And a jolting realization almost knocked Tia out of her feet, she realized that she was only a friend. Ashi belonged to Yuvi, and she silently vowed that one day she would give her to him.
