Nasha Is A Vexing Tale Of Desperation : Reasons Why To Not Watch Nasha

Unlike others, we aren't sadists and hence we advise you to giveNasha a skip. The reasons are aplenty. The film is nothing like its bare poster. It is a shabby replica of some really distasteful literature. Though the premise of a younger guy falling for an older woman is something Bollywood has traversed into many times, butNasha dishes it out with a dash of objectifying women!
The jokes in the film about 'Gotis' et al made me believe that we indeed breed such typical mentalities and then complain about the status of women in our country. I don't find it hard to excoriate this film or the actress simply because they have been so callous and casual in going a step ahead and come up with such a creepy, sleazy film. There are needless labels in the film as quite evident from its posters! I doubt any of the chastising will sting Poonam enough to refrain from 'acting' anymore
Before people begin bantering about me being a prude, I request you to watch the film and find in it an ounce of story that justifies the need to show a scene where a young guy 'jerks off' imagining about his young teacher. Also, find me one school where a principal allows the teacher to dress in such skimpy clothes! And mind you, she is never in class with her 'students'. Not that Bollywood has ever taken realism so seriously, but to pull off a relentlessly-shedding-clothes stunt like Nasha, is not only made in poor light but also lacks a sense of aesthetic imagination.
Besides having objections to the film as a woman, I do have other qualms. A film with an actress who can't act, a failed storytelling, shady execution – there's not one thing the film gets right! It even ditches what it had promised its audience : ample skin show.
The film's main male lead and his group of friends banter along rude jokes and pass incorrigible and nasty comments! The climax is so wonderful that you are left bemused. The teacher and the student end up having sex and then she walks out on him for good! Her final note was the worst where she rambles on – Love is like summer vacations which comes with a brand new pleasure every year! Either I got the meaning entirely wrong or there is some strange reason why the film faced no bans so far. Perhaps the people from extremist thought wings were completely smitten by Poonam Pandey too. It is so desperate to be cheap that there is no saving this film!
