CHAPTER 3...
it was late midnight.adi can't get pankhuri out of his mind.he cant understand his feelings for her.
adi-(confused) i cant understand anything.why is it that when i am not with pankhu, i feel so lonely, i feel so alone with out her.
and when im with her,i forget the whole world.i know she is my bestfriend but...CAN THIS BE LOVE?
adi felt so restless, and he decided to go to pankhuri's hostel.he went out of his house from the verandah secretly.he went to
his motorcycle and started it. he went away from his house without anyone noticing him.
adi has reached pankhuri's hostel and is thinking of a way to go inside.soon, adi saw a ladder and he climb to pankhuri's room.pankhuri
was fast asleep. adi knocked in her window. and he keeps calling pankhuri. pankhuri woke up and was very surprised to see adi at the window.
pankhuri- (stunned) adi! what are you doing here?you are suppose to be in your house right?
adi- i know! but please, let me in. i'll tell you everything.
pankhu- okay just wait. i'll help you come in here. i'll pull you. 1...2...3... pull!
adi- ouch! my back hurts!
pankhu- what was the need of climbing a ladder? cant you go through the door?
adi-how will i go through the main door? if someone will notice me from the main door then surely they wont spare me!
pankhu- but you shouldn't have climbed the ladder because they will think that you are a thief!
adi- now that i have come inside, let us just end this argument right now
pankhu- fine. but next time you have to inform me if you want to go to my hostel, okay?
adi- ( smiling) okay!
pankhuri and aditya were sitting on the bed and were talking, laughing and were having fun.
pankhu- adi, i forgot to ask, why did you come here at the hostel in the middle of the night?
adi- well pankhuri it is just that i feel so bored at home and i do not feel sleepy. so an idea of visiting you came to my mind.
pankhu- oh! but nice idea huh..
adi- but im so sorry,because i disturbed you from you sleep.i shouldn't have disturbed you, im so sorry.
pankhuri- its okay adi, and i am so angry at you! you said sorry again!
adi-okay! i wont say sorry to you forever.now are you happy?
pankhu-yes...
adi- im sooo...hungry, i didn't eat anything today at dinner.
pankhu- why?
adi- because i want to eat with you, i want to eat you dish...
pankhu- oh so that's the case?
adi- yep...
pankhu- so let's go..
adi- where?
pankhu- at the kitchen. i'll cook food for us. but you have to help me...
adi-( doesn't feel like going to the kitchen) but...
pankhu- you told me you want to eat, but for that i need a companion who could help me in the kitchen.
adi- okay...fine.
pankhuri and aditya were at the kitchen. adi was slicing the onions and the chillies while pankhuri
was preparing the dough.
adi- ( gets irritated by the onions and thus have tears falling from his eyes) pankhuri, its so fun to work in the kitchen right?
pankhu-yes, but i can really see you enjoying a lot! adi, why didn't you tell me before that you dont like to work at the kitchen?
adi- i know i hate kitchen.but i really want to help you.
pankhuri- awww...its okay adi. i'll manage. and now look at you eyes!( pankhuri is wiping the tears rolling down from adi's eyes using her
duppata).
adi-( smiling) thank you pankhuri...
pankhu- youre always welcome.
pankhuri was adding flour to the dough and adi was standing beside her as her companion..
pankhuri's hair keep falling on the dough.
pankhu- oh no!
adi- ( adi holding her hair) is it okay now?
pankhu- yes.
adi- while you are preparing the dough, i'll hold your hair like this, atleast, this is the only help i can give you...
pankhu- okay adi, and thanks...
adi- ( he was laughing as he saw pankhuri's face covered with flour)
pankhu-hey! what's wrong with you? why are you laughing like that?
adi- ( still laughing) okay pankhu... just relax...its just that your whole face is covered with flour.
pankhuri- oh no!!!
adi- ( he wiped pankhuri's face with his t-shirt.)
pankhuri-why did you wipe my face with your t-shirt... don't you have a hankerchief?
adi- ( smiling) no, but atleast i wiped your face...
now, the dinner is ready.pankhuri and adi were eating together...
adi- wow! pankhuri! this is so tasty... you do really have magic in those hands!
pankhu- ( feeling praised) actually, i dont. its just that i learned cooking from my mom. she is an expert at cooking.
awww...i miss her so much!
adi- well, in that case, i'll give the whole credit to your mom only...
pankhuri- but...
adi- just kidding yaar...
then the two were laughing and eating each other.
adi- hey pankhu, you have dal on your moth. ( adi wiped it with his hands) now there you go!
pankhuri-thanks adi...
adi- ( looking at his watch) oh no pankhuri! its time for me to go home, or else mom and dad will find out that i'm not at home...
pankhuri- okay. but now you don't have to go from the ladder, you have to go through the door. okay?
adi- ( smiling) yes mom!
pankhuri- what did you call me?
adi- mom...i really like the way you care for me... haha...
pankhuri- ( laughing) okay bye!!
adi- bye pankhu...
when adi was just about to leave, he went back to pankhuri.
adi- ( appreaciating pankhuri) thank you so much pankhuri,for the wonderful midnight, fo the midnight dinner and everything...( he hugged pankhuri
so tightly and pankhuri hugged him tightly too).
pankhu- what do you think? you're the only one who had a great time? i had so much fun with you...( pankhuri kissed adi at the cheeks)
adi-( blushing) hey, you kissed me?
pankhuri- ( smiling) why, who told you that i can't kiss my cutest bestfriend?
adi- ( he hugged and kissed pankhuri at the cheeks.) well ofcourse you can!
pankhuri-( blushing) aren't you getting late adi????
adi- oh yeah... see you tomorrow, bye... ( adi gave her a flying kiss)
pankhuri- bye.( he gave adi a flying kiss too.)
when pankhu shut the door, she can already feel her heartbeat running faster...whenever she thinks of adi, she always smiles for no reason, she knew that she
is in love with her bestfriend...
same as adi, he has developed more feelings for pankhuri... he is in love with her...
