One new thing I would like to do this year is playback singing in my movie. Ever since I was three years old, I have wanted to sing. My sister Priyanka Chopra has now released an album and she's been extremely successful. That has motivated me to sing now as well. Our whole family is into music. It was something I always knew I would pursue, it was just a matter of time when. Singing is my dream… I am a trained classical vocalist in Hindustani music from the Agra gharana and have done my BA Honours in classical music. I want to sing all genres — from ghazals to pop to rock and even classical. It all depends on my mood. I can't compose music or write lyrics. I will only sing for my films…

As far as cinema is concerned, according to me, the newest thing that has happened to films is the audience today. Because their sensibilities have changed, we are able to make different kinds of films from commercial entertainers like Cocktails, Rowdy Rathod and Dabangg to sensible films like Issaq, Paan Singh Tomar and Lootera. With the new audience so many genres have opened up. And you don't have to be a superstar's son or daughter to be accepted. You can be as new as you or me and be equally accepted. Today a non-star or star's film can be a flop or blockbuster.

i like her singing..

n the title is misleading..she meant shes not good in anyother roles in music field so she will only sing if given a chance

I hope she realizes the only reason she got a chance to be an actress is because she is Priyanka's cousin. It's like in every interview of hers she is taking digs at people. What's the point of mentioning star kids?..honey you need to realize you are a star's cousin 🥱

How? Priyanka didn't help her get her first role at all. And Priyanka does not command that kind of power that she can get someone a role, even Katrina cant get her sister in. Only Bollywood families like Kapoor' can do that.

She gets movies because she is actually talented. She stole the show in LVRB and shined in Ishaqzaade, so much attention for someone who is only 2 films old.

She actually used to work in the YRF office and that's how they kind of recruited her after an impromptu audition she gave.

Priyanka has no hand in her getting movies 😕

What do you think producers think "omg she is priyankas cousin lets run and sign her" Nobody thinks like that anymore. That's why we have a huge line of star kid rejects who made it nowhere.

Oh please..PC helped her get a job at YR films studio. And then from there she got a film. Can an outsider easily get a job at YR films studio? Obv not..that's why PC had to introduce her to the head of public relations team at YR films studio so they can give her a job. Obv working for the studio helped her get a film.

What am saying is..the way she got an opportunity to be an actress is no different than how a star kid gets an opportunity to act. In this interview she's making herself seem like an outsider who got a chance to be an actress without any help..which is bull crap.

Talented? Maybe she is..but right now..she is playing the same characters in all her films..she's going the Anuska way. I would say she is talented when she stops playing herself in all her films. I don't see how her acting is any different from every film she has done so far. Shradha Kapoor is more talented and versatile than her. Parineeti Chopra is overrated and all hype.

How do you know that? How do you know PC got her the job? Were you the hiring manager? Do you know Priyanka or YRF personally?

Even if PC got her the job, she certainly didn't get her the film, that's a different story all together.

Even if she did, so what? You should be the last person to talk about people "helping" others to get a role, Arent you a fan of Kareena? People always say Karishma paved the way for her and all. Even if she didn't, she is living proof of nepotism. So lets get real here. I wouldn't talk if I was you.

No one is asking you to like Parineeti, but stop making up stories in your head.

lol are you serious? The difference between me and you is I never deny that bebo got films because of her connections in the beg of her career. But you are telling me am making things up in my head when it's a fact that PC helped Parineeti get a job at YR films studio. I never said there was anything wrong with that..I said it was wrong that Parineeti is pretending to be an outsider in this interview when she is not.
