Chapter 3

When sudheer came back home with kartik , he came to know that his daughter is in her study , with some important pending works . Asking his son to trial to his bedroom, Sudheer went to meet his daughter . He peeped silently to the study and found priya leaning over the stack of files tapping the calculator , she is working on some thing and her concentration in fully on her work only .

Sudheer stepped into the study and sat in front of priya. Her concentration broke , as the sudheer pulled the chair to have a seat. Priya smiled looking at her father , closing the file , she asked her father about the party and about kartik . Sudheer said that every thing went fine and kartik was in his room then.

Sudheer was finding a perfect situation to speak about Ram to her , but another thing stroke that if Priya gets to know about Ram she will definitely deny from meeting the kapoor Family . So he wanted to speak about the Marriage in a different manner .

" so priya ' beta what is your plan for future?" sudheer started '

" bass papa.. one year , after that Kartik will be completely ready for the '" sudheer interjected saying , " I m not asking about kartik or company , it was , is and will be yours , it will be nothing without you .."

" papa.." she came and pulling a chair sat by her father and taking his hand on her's she said , " papa I know somewhere you and I '. Don't share good things , but seriously saying papa , I love you a lot ' and you and kartik are my family ' please papa '. Let me do it for kartik ' and my future I m planning for retirement .. one year , after that , I will shift to pune , my full time will be theirs .." she looked down '

" and what about you ? tu kya karegi '" sudheer asked with much pain in his eyes .

' I told you papa ' I will be with them '" priya replied '

" but I will not be happy .. I want you to settle down '" sudheer spoke at last for what he was there '

" settle down??" she repeated after her father surprisingly and guessing a bit she asked her father , if he was thinking about her marriage. Sudheer stood up and informed his daughter that yes he is thinking about her marriage , and also added that , he has already chosen a perfect match for her .

Priya went restless , she stood up and said , " papa .. but how , I mean y papa ' I m ok ' I m fine in this life ..'

" r u seeing someone ?" sudheer asked directly .

" what you are saying papa .. no absolutely no '" she replied

" then ' our resort I have invited them to our resort tomorrow be there by 5 p.m we would have a over night stay there '" sudheer directed priya ..

" papa tomorrow is Saturday and you know I have to go to pune on Sunday ' then how '' she was again stopped by sudheer who said scolding his daughter , " if you believe me and loved your mother a little bit , then be there on time , waise beta if your mother would have been here today , shaadi ho gayi hoti teri .. priya if you loved me a little bit then i will expect you there on time '"

As shudher stood up to leave , priya tried a last time to neglect the meeting , but she again failed , her father wanted her to be on time in their resort next day . She failed to convince her dad . she sat back closing her files , alone in deep thought , trying to recollect herself from the after shock that she got from her father .

Next Morning '

Kapoor Mansion '.

Every family member was on the breakfast table , dadi cleared her throat , to take the attention of every one , especially Ram , who was talking over the phone . On dadi's urgent call , vikram and neha are also present there . every one was waiting for dadi to speak. Ram keeping his cell phone aside looked at dadi .

" aaj .. bahut hi jaroori baat batane wali hoon mein '" dadi said '

Ram looked at his mother , and then at his friends surprisingly '. He then asked dadi , about the important matter .

" yaad hain naa golu ' tune wada kiya tha ' jaha mein kahungi udhar hi shaadi karega ' yaad hain naa'" dadi said ' Ram nodded to her ..

' toh .. meine ladki pasand kar liyaa hain '"

" Dadi ' itni jaldi .. I mean just a day back I said to you and you have already '." Ram said out of his state of shock .

" bol de naa dadi ki baat nahi manni hain tuje '" Dadi said annoyingly '

" no no dadi , I didn't want to mean that , I wanted to say that , so sooner how you got a girl .. I m sorry dadi , I didn't want to hurt you '" Ram said '

" so beta ' you have to come today at The Heaven's Resort , within 5 p.m , if you have any appointments please postpone it .." Krishna Kapoor said to her son '

[ sudheer Sharma after informing priya , informed the kapoors about the place and the time and also wanted to know that if they are ok with it or not .. the kapoors without any hesitation and protest agreed with him ']

" today maa.." ram exclaimed '.

Vikram and neha were listeners till then , after ram's protest , vikram spoke out , and he assured dadi and Krishna kapoor that ram and they will reach the resort on time . Vikram is like a son to the kapoor's , dadi has a blind faith on him and neha ' after dadi and Krishna kapoor left for their room , neha turned to Ram with a naughty smile '.

" what !!" ram stood up and started walking to his study , neha ran after him , blocking his way she said , " arey why are you getting so much paranoid ? let us go and meet the girl naa'"

" meet the girl !!! paranoid?? Do you know neha what the hell dadi asked me to do , marry that girl , whom she has finalize and I m not in a mood to marry a girl who has all her concentration over make up and dresses ' which the maximum girls supposed to have now a days '" ram said in a angry tone '

" are lets meet naa ' if you will not like the girl I am there naa , I will take you out of the situation , but tell me one thing haven't you asked dadi about your choice , I mean , she cant finalize a girl so easily ' she should get your opinion , and maa is not .." neha stopped at looked at ignorant ram , she jerking ram by his arms , said " you are listening me naa Ram ' r u getting me ?"

" yes .. yes '" ram walked to the sofa and settled down , adding , " yes I have given a list to dadi , but , so sooner from where she found a girl . who the hell she is ??"

Vikram came and sat by ram , placing his hand on ram's shoulder he said , " you never know Ran she is the one , and trust me , match comes all of a sudden , you don't have to sit down with a pen and paper and plan out how you want to meet your perfect match , it happens when destiny struck. Believe me or not ' perfect match happens by destiny's call not by the karma of one person ' Birth , marriage , death , these three things , you don't have any control over that , you just have to wait for the call to come '"

" I know vikram but '. Dadi didn't even updated me about her name , what she do '.i mean .. you know what kind of girl I want '" ram said '. Vikram was about to reply , when Ram's mother spoke from behind , " A girl , coming from a business family , well aware of business , she runs the business rather , so she can help you with the business , family , she absolutely respect elders and loves the family , and we have got a prove last night ram , that how much she respects elders .. if she can be so humble with unknowns then just think how much she will be loving with her own family ..?? she matches your list perfectly ram '. But it's a surprise for you , whom you are going to meet '" without letting Ram speak further , his mother vanished into the kitchen '

Vikram patted on ram's shoulder and naughtily said " barbadi Mubarak ho'"

Neha heard it , and shouted , " what did you say Vikram ' rooko tum.. I will kill you '." Neha ran towards vikram , he in turn hide himself behind Ram , and the game between vikram and neha , managed Ram to smile and eventually he laughed'..

That Evening!!!!!

The Heaven's Resort '..

Ram , neha and vikram came there with the family , the kids , of shergills were having a great time , there , neha and vikram are blessed with one son and one daughter . the kapoor elders are seating by the pool side ' natasha has also joined ram and the shergills , they were having light moments '.. suddenly , they heard Ridhima , neha 'vikram's daughter to come running towards them , neha handed her drink to ram and stopped ridhima , she asked her daughter about her restlessness '

After gathering much air , ridhima , spoke , " mamma .. wo ' wo .. rahul ,, he fell over an aunty and spoiled her dress with a chocolate cake ' and she took him somewhere mamma '. Do something mamma '"

Neha looked at ram and vikram , she ran towards the place , with ridhima '.. ram and vikram followed her .. and ram asked Natasha to take of dadi and maa ' she followed ram 's instruction '.when neha with ram and vikram came there , they saw a lady , dressed in a off white kurti , and cream salwar on her knees and rahul standing by her , giggling laughing with her , ordering something to the butler '.

' rahul '" neha called her son by her name '. Rahul looked back and smiled , then he looked at the lady and said 'aunty 'mamma '" the lady in off white suit stood up , and turned to them '.

Neha studied the lady , ridhima was right , her salwar was spoiled by the chocolate cake , neha stepped to her and said , " I am absolutely sorry '.. wo rahul is '" she was interjected by the lady , with a smile she said , " it's absolutely ok , if kids will not do mischief then who else will do '" ruffling rahul's hair , she added , " very nice kid '."

" app .. yahaan '." Ram came infront and said '

" app '" she exclaimed '

The lady in off white kurti and chream salwar was none other than Priya Sharma , she smiled .

" pleasant surprise .. or should I say you are following me .." Ram said ..

With an annoying smile she said , " well where you are standing , belongs to me '" she looked for a reply '

" means '" Ram added ..

" means Mr.Kapoor I own this place '." She smiled , and without letting ram speak , she excused herself from their , and walked to the other part of the resort '.

After priya left neha asked the kids to behave properly and came to vikram and ram , ram was still watching priya , intently '. Neha smiled and cleared her throat , ram took his eyes from priya and looked at neha , finding her smiling awkwardly , he said , " what !! why are you laughing '"

" you like her .." neha teased Ram , adding , " that's why you don't want to marry naa '"

' oh !! hello !!! she and I will like her ' proud '. Arrogant , nakhchari ' like and her ' no ways ' 2 minutes for 2 minutes she can ' I mean .. she is a mad .. pagal hain ' pagal ' I feel pity for that guy re , who will marry her '.its only good till the professional relationship , and me and her ' god the oddest match ever ..neither she can tolerate me nor I can her ' samjhi '." Ram ended and found neha and vikram having no expression , he turned back and to his surprise he found priya standing and smiling '.

Priya stepped to him and said , ' well I should appreciate your truthfulness Mr.Kapoor , you have exactly guessed what I m really '. Thank you for that '.' Excusing herself .. she walked from there '.

Neha and vikram came to ram , he was least interested to learn if priya was hurt with his cruel and harsh words for her . He asked his friends to come along and join the elders .. When ram reached the pool side , he saw , his family accompanied by The sharmas '. He didn't got surprised as he just came to know that the place belongs to priya , so it was natural for the family to be present .

Ram came and stood with a smiling face '. Dadi , took ram's hand , and said , " sudheer Pasand hain naa tuje mera puttar '" Ram looked down to dadi surprisingly '. And to his biggest surprise of all '. When priya, who has changed her salwar , came and stood by sudheer Sharma , he, said , " Biji , isse toh mil hi chuki hain app , phir se mulakaat karwa doo , meri beti , Priya '. And priya , yeh Ram ki dadi aur Maa" and then pointing to Natasha , sudheer ji introduced Natasha to priya as ram's sister '..

Ram priya was shocked to see each other in that situation , both of them only knew that they are going to meet their prospective match , who is that person , they had no idea , so Ram and Priya wished to all mighty for not making their dreadful guess to be true. But destiny has already made its call , and it was confirmed when dadi , announced Priya as her choice for Ram , and sudheer announced to priya , about his decision ..

For few minutes their worlds went upside down '. They looked at each other blankly. After recollecting themselves , priya took the courage to speak , ' mein .. ati hoo abhi '." She made an escapade from there ..cleverly '

' dekha Golu .. Kudi Sharma gayi .." dadi ' said smilingly '

Ram then also excused himself from there ' when he headed to the open air bar joint , he saw priya sitting there , lone , hands on her forehead , tapping it with the two thumbs pressed together and eyes closed '. The waiter came and said " Ma'am pinacolada '." Priya didn't responded '. Ram tapped on the waiter's shoulder and asked him to leave '. The waiter nodded and left '. Ram sat on the bar chair and moving the glass to her said , " Miss Sharma '." His voice struck her brain like an alarm ' she looked up and ram added , " I m shocked too much ' as you are '."

Priya expressionlessly turned the chair to the bar joint and called the bar maid , she asked her to take ram's order , Ram denied it and asked priya if they can talk ' priya gave a nod '.

" you never know ' your father has chosen me for you '"Ram was very calm this time ..

" I wish I would have an idea about this , then we were supposed not to be in this situation ' Mr.Kapoor ' and I think same with you , because the mind set you have for me , will never have had allowed you to come here and see me as your prospective match '" priya said as she sipped her drink '.

" right you are priya .." he paused and looked up to see an annoying face starting at him , and he was again correct in guessing , priya was starring badly over him ' he looked down immediately ' Neither of them spoke for few minutes , which was not less than 15-20 minutes .

After a while vikram came to the bar joint and asked them to join the families , both ram priya , who where in a deep shock after facing the truth , silently walked with Vikram towards the family '..

As ram priya came to a Room , by the poolside , dadi asked priya to come and sit with her , priya have enormous respect for the elders , she with her eyes dropped down to the floor went to dadi and obeyed as she said , Krishna kapoor came and sat by the other side . Where as Kartik and sudheer smiled looking at them , Natasha kept her busy with the DSLR '

Dadi , moved her face up by her chin and said that she always had a wish to get a daughter in law just like her . Krishna kapoor seconded her while , Natasha gave a naughty smile to Ram , who felt uncomfortable and couldn't just accept Priya as his would be wife .

Ram's mother took out a bangle from her pouch and holding it out she said that , those were specially made by ram's father on his 1^st birthday for Ram's would be wife . Krishna Kapoor wanted to hand it over to priya , she looked up to Ram ' ram looked blankly at her , Priya knows family values and the emotions which are attached with the little little ceremonies . The fact is her mother cultivated the Indian culture , tradition its importance and the emotions kneaded within those very efficiently within her . She didn't want to hurt Ram's family ' but she wanted Ram to oppose the marriage .

Before she or Ram could react , dadi called ram .. he swear to dadi a day back , that where ever she will want , he will marry , though priya matches the criteria list , but he don't even want to see her in front of his eyes for a minute , and his family planned to make her , his life partner . Dadi asked Ram to sit by priya , hesitatingly ram settled , and his mother handed the bangle to Ram asking him to slip it to priya's wrist . Ram caressed the bangle , priya felt very awkward , she wanted to stop Ram , she wanted to escape from the situation but she was trapped .

Ram's mother asked ram if he wants to say something , Ram in his mind said that yes he don't like priya , he don't want to marry her , but as his eyes meet dadi's he remembered what he promised to Dadi , with a deep sigh he extended his hand to Priya ' she felt bit awkward but she gave her hand to him , as dadi asked her to do . Ram slowly slipped the bangle to her wrist.

Looking at priya's wrist , dadi smiled and said , " dekh Krishna , yeh toh priya ke liye hi bana hain ' ekdum sahi aa gaya yeh Priya puttar ko '" awkwardness engulfed the room , but only for Ram Priya , the elders congratulated each other , ram Priya took blessings from the elders , Kartik hugged his sister , she reciprocated '. After a while the elders excused themselves , leaving the kids behind . Priya also made an exit , she ran after her father , Ram's eyes were fixed on her only , he found priya talking something with her father , something serious .

Vikram and neha came to Ram and tapping on his shoulder they asked if he is happy with the relation or not , ram without keeping any hesitation , said , that he is not at all happy to find priya as his would be, he wants to amend it before it goes out of his hand . Neha got surprised , with ram's reaction. Vikram and neha got shocked , when the found Priya , supporting Ram .

Priya came there , with a deep sigh he sat on the couch and said that she supports ram completely .

" Both of you are mad !!!" neha said in dejection , adding , " if you two are not happy with the relationship , then you two should have spoke before your elders would have accepted you two from their heart.." vikram completely seconded his wife ' Priya looked at ram and asked him to take an action so that they can call off their marriage .

Ram looked up , " sorry Miss Sharma I cant help , you have to do something to save us '."

" what do you mean you cant , I also cant , I cant tell my father that I don't want this marriage to happen , you talk with your family and you can easily reject me '. What the big deal '" Priya countered him '

' big deal ' it's a big deal , I have promised my dadi to marry , by her choice , and you can easily guess who is her choice '" ram said bit annoyingly '.

" what !!! but '.." she stopped as her phone rang , she looked at the number and receiving the call she excused herself to the balcony '. When priya was talking over the phone , vikram asked ram why he was so adamant about priya , ram looked at the balcony and said only few words before he left ' and those were " I don't want to make my life a HELL."

Unfortunately Priya heard his last few words very clearly ' neha noticed priya , she took's vikram's attention to her , vikram wanted to talk with priya , but she left , saying " I M OK" '..

Neha and Vikram stood still ' they looked at each other' Neither of them has any thing to speak ' they could only wish whatever is happening between ram and Priya , either it should end , or it should atleast mend '..

What will Ram And Priya do next ' How they will Run away from each other '. Who will be the first one to call off the engagement ' Or something else is waiting , for them '. Will they marry or will they part ??
