Drashti Dhami currently rules the queen status of Colors!
Although, in terms of popularity the show 'Balika Vadhu' tops the charts of the most viewed program on Colors, the leading lady of its fierce competitor program, 'Madhubala', holds the reigning position for the channel.
Balika Vadhu loses to the leading lady for the prime reason of changing the main female protagonist thrice on the show, thereby making the audience lose interest from the much loved character of 'Anandi'. This allowed the show, Madhubala- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, to get away.
Drashti Dhami, the leading lady in and as Madhubala has made headlines with her much adorable role. What came as a clear winner for her was her high voltage chemistry with the male protagonist Rishabh Kundra, which made people stick to the show. No wonder, their chemistry has rocked all TRP ratings and has been at par with its contemporary show, Balika Vadhu.
Drashti Dhami has managed to give a consistent performance in the show and has also looked strikingly pretty with her Indian outfits. Her emotional upheavals and her love equations with the loved ones around her made her character endearing, making people love her instantly.
It was the love for the audience and her popularity, which helped her come as a celebrity participant on the dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhlaa Ja season'. Her dancing moves are now creating as much raving reviews as her histrionics on the daily soap, Madhubala.
It wasn't that it was Madhubala alone, which worked for the actress. Drashti has managed to grab nation's attention through her striking on-screen performance in and as Geet. Being the leading lady there, the actress already managed to have a steady stream of loyal fans, who would stick to her daily presence. The show Madhubala has simply expanded that fan base, making a strong audience for her.
It seems that the titles roles always work in favor of the lady. Whether it was 'Geet' or 'Madhubala' , both the shows have got her noticed. Even her work in 'Dil Mil Gaye' as the chirpy intern was quite appreciated, landing her into meatier leading roles.
