It's ridiculous that some people can openly call Pratyusha a skeleton without being told anything, but if it's the FR being bashed, it's a different story entirely. 😕 I can understand clamping down on bashing and suchlike, but the rules should be the same for everyone.
I believe numerous SidYushians have openly called the mods out on this, but I have never seen a straight/direct answer from any mod with regards to this issue whenever a thread has been locked... it is always the usual vague "This forum is an open platform for everyone to express their views, and if you have issues/queries/concerns, take them up with the DT via PM".
I think it's high time we got some assurance and understanding from the mods that this IS an issue and that it does need to be sorted out. I feel like the moderator response thus far could be due to one of three things:
a) a lack of care/interest in the forum and its members (in which case, frankly, those people shouldn't be moderators at all), or
b) a belief that this is a non-issue and that we are a bunch of people overreacting over nothing (which would explain why nothing has been solved thus far), or
c) a conscious decision to be partial to fans of Toral and to take Toral bashing as carrying more weight than Prats bashing (in which case we have a serious problem on our hands).
Frankly, I think the 'no comparisons' rule is silly and has only served to breed more resentment and anger because people do not have a place to let out their frustrations with the replacement. I would like to request the mods to review this and to allow us members far more freedom of speech than is being allowed at present. Everyone should have the right to healthy debate. Some of us may not watch the show any more, but we still have every right to post our views without being told that we are violating some fabricated regulations. If I met a Toral fan in real life, I'd be like, "Ugh, I can't stand her... Prats was so much better", and they'd be like, "Oh, really? I really like Toral ", and we might debate for a bit and then just agree to disagree. And that's how it should be on IF... everyone should be able to call a spade a spade (within reason and without making personal attacks or being outright offensive) without being told that they can't because of some ridiculous debate-stifling rule. People have different opinions and the right to express them. The way the forum currently is, it's like you're only "right" or accepted or wanted if you like Toral, and that is NOT how an open forum should be or feel.
Anyway, sorry if I've been blunt, but this issue is just getting really irritating now, and I really wanted to put forward my two cents.
