First of all, A very very happy independence day to all of you...May our country live forever, AMEEEN!

As we are all celebrating JASHN-E_AZADI as 58th anniversary of our Dear Pakistan has approached, it would be good to discuss something about where our country stands in modern world of today.

Pakistan is a developing country as we all know. Thousands of efforts were made and are still in progress by the Government of Pakistan in order to bring Pakistan at the level of a developed country. Pakistan's economy is suffering hugely from some major macroeconomic problems like Poverty, Unemployment, Inflation, Lack of food and shelter provision, less growth in GDP of Pakistan and low Per Capita income. Where does the actual problem lies, why cant we people emerge as winners making our way through all of these problems gradually. Inequality in distribution of wealth has forced poor family youngsters to become robbers, bank looters etc. Why cant a degree holder equipped with knowledge and skill get a better job? Why is there abundance of inequality in our society when Pakistan is an Islamic Republic. Islam always taught lesson of MUSAWAAT but we as a nation have forgotten the golden principles of Islam only to end up in despair.

In my view, we as a nation are not united anymore. We don't work towards the common well-being of our country. Every goal, every motive is individual. Take me, take anyone, that is what we all do without really realizing the effect. We say very carelessly that "MY INDIVIDUAL DEEDS ARE NOT GONNA SHAPE UP PAKISTAN, so why should it only be me?". This is absolutely not true, it always starts with a small contribution but grows towards a larger perspective. If we today, start doing something small for our Pakistan, someday it might help Pakistan overall at a large scale. Why don't we take the example of JAPAN. After a huge disaster, cant we see how the people emerged as winners. They untied themselves and now Japan is one of most highly developed countries in the world. When Japanese could emerge from such a bad situation, why cant we make our Pakistan a stable country although by the grace of Allah we have never been in such a disastrous situation like that of Japan? We have got great minds, great teachers, doctors, surgeons, lawyers, scientists but unfortunately there is no better employment opportunities for them available, that is why most of them opt for settling abroad inorder to earn a better living. Can we imagine what sort of damage is it causing to our country? Our best resources are being utilized by other countries and we are still complaining for development.

Who is responsible for all this? Is it because people opt for better opportunities and go abroad or is it because there is no scope in Pakistan? Should people blamed for it or is it because of current economic conditions of Pakistan? I think that unless we people try to make our economy better, its not gonna improve. We should take the first step.

My concern at this point in time is that despite all the past & current efforts, its taking a longtime for Pakistan to be what we call a developed country. China, who got independence a year later than us, is already classified as a developed country. Why is this so?? Who should be blamed for this? Government? Individuals?? Non-seriousness of people? What exactly?

What is the responsibility of WE as Pakistanis whether we are living in Pakistan or are settled abroad? What can we do to help Pakistan stand against super powers of today?

I am looking forward to a healthy discussion and as Amreen said in her topic, please don't copy paste from internet websites, just write your opinions and views. And thanks a lot for reading my LECTURE kinda topic, I hope I didn't bored you guys to death.

You are all welcome to share ur views,

Thanks a lot

Great Article Manna! 👏

I agree that we are not united. We are not disciplined; we have gone far away from our faith!
We in short have forgotten the saying of Qauid-e-Azam:

UNITY, FAITH & DISCIPINE!

We just say it, we don't act upon it. These three words look simple, but have a very deep meaning. If we have all these three in our lives, our nation will also start to develop.

We fight with each other. We have divided the nation by class and religion, which has no meaning. Due to all these fights, rich are getting richer and poor are getting poorer.

We have to see first what we are doing before we go and take a sneak peak, that what is happening at neighbor's home.

Hey!

I think a lot of blame has to go to all the politicalians that we have had who have been ruling our country......
Each one of them was hell bent on making money for themselves first, and then maybe later on, for the country......
And becoz of all this corruption our nation suffered as a result......
We neeed to get rid of this corruption that is present at every level....and have accountabilty.....

Secondly I think literacy is very important too.....
Only with education can we improve our country's situation especially for the poor people as they are the majority of people who vote.....
I remember my driver once telling me that he voted for one particular party coz they were giving out free Pepsi........He had no idea what they stood for or anything....he just liked the Pepsi and so they got his vote......

So education is a must.....only then can our nation be more developed.....

Take care!
Hania! 😊
