Hey guys!!! I'm back with an SS after a long time!!! This idea just randomly popped into my head and i decided to write it down, even though i have no idea whether it makes sense or not... I hope you guys like it! i figured we needed a bit of fun during such depressing times! 😛 enjoy!!

~PROLOGUE~
"Phupi, you missed it! It was an amazing movie!! You should have come!" said Zoya for probably the hundredth time that day. They were all seated at the table for dinner and Zoya just couldn't stop gushing about some action movie she and Najma had watched in the morning. She'd repeated the story so many times that even Dilshad knew it by heart now and she hadn't even seen it.
"Zoya, please" said Najma "I'm bored of talking about that movie over and over again. Can we please talk about something else?"
"Or rather not talk at all?" muttered Asad, who was as usual trying to zone out Zoya and her incessant blabbering but was miserably failing to do so. As much as he tried to deny it, but her laughter and antics always made him lighten up after a long and tiring day at work. He smirked as Zoya flashed him a disapproving glare but otherwise ignored his comment.
"Allah miyaan what's wrong with you, tamatar?" she exclaimed. "You should be supporting me, here! Did you not like the movie?"
"I did like it! But it was just another one of your meaningless action movies, Zoya. Where people keep fighting till they've destroyed each and every building in their city and then they fight some more before the movie ends. There was nothing new in it!"
"Tamatar! It wasn't just any action movie! That movie is gonna be a legend, okay? Phupi, you should've seen the way the hero fought the villain! He didn't have any ammunition or weapons on him when he was attacked. It was a purely hand-to-hand combat and oh man, it was sexy! The way the hero kicked the bad guy squarely in his balls-"
"Miss Farooqui!" exclaimed Asad, banging his fork down on his plate, while Najma and his mother fought to control their laughter. "Watch your mouth. You will not use such language in my house, is that understood?" Zoya banged her fork down as well, as she turned to look at him.
"What is your problem, Mr. Khan?" she asked him. "Sexy is not a bad word!"
"It is an extremely inappropriate word to use in front of-"
"Allah miyaan! Inappropriate?! Do you expect me to write poetry or something, which subtly hints that I find something sexy but does not openly declare it as 'sexy'? What is this, the Victorian age?!"
"I never said that! You can use much more civilized words, like, easy on the eyes or attractive or something like that. And it's not just about that word. You ways of expressing yourself are very crude."
"Oh really?" Zoya exclaimed, standing up and placing her hands on her hips. "Well, how would you 'express yourself' if you were asked to describe a scene where a man gets his balls kicked?"
"I would choose to ignore that part of the movie and talk about parts which weren't so vulgar" Asad replied, folding his arms in defense.
"Vulgar?!"
"Yes. Your American movies have nothing in them except for vulgarity and offensive language. I don't understand why you people even watch such movies".
"Well, they don't make movies for people like you, who mentally belong to a different era, altogether. Anyway, why am I even arguing with you? Nothing ever comes out of it. You keep your views to yourself while I go and enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. Goodnight Phuhpi, Najma, Mr. Thesaurus" Zoya finished and sauntered off to her room, leaving Dilshad and Najma rolling with laughter, while Asad stood aside glaring at her.
"Stop laughing, tamatar!" he snapped at his sister and then turned to glare at his mother. "It's because of you, Ammi, that Miss Farooqui roams around with that 'devil may care' attitude of hers. If you weren't so easy going and lenient, she would've known how to behave in this house!"
"Stop it, Asad" Dilshad chided him. "Zoya's such a darling. She's been brought up in a modern society. You can't expect her to become like Najma or me overnight! And she really tries to behave in front of you, trust me. I've seen that girl be her natural self. You don't know how funny it can get!" she said and started laughing, apparently remembering some funny incident Asad didn't know about.
"Unbelievable" Asad muttered and rolled his eyes, before marching off to his room praying he didn't have to see the day when Zoya became her 'natural self' in front of him.
