MP: Andy Duncan's statement "pathetic"

Keith Vaz MP has called this afternoon's statement from Channel 4 CEO Andy Duncan "pathetic."

Speaking to Sky News, Vaz said that the allegations of racism and bullying were "serious" and added that "the only people who don't appear to be taking it seriously are Channel 4."

"I thought the statement made by Andy Duncan was pathetic," he said. "He did not want to confront the really serious issues that were in front of the viewers and in front of management. He should listen to the chorus of criticism."

Earlier this week, Vaz tabled an early day motion expressing "concern" over events in the house. The EDM has so far been signed by 21 MPs.

I also thought Andy Duncan's statement was "pathetic". he was not at all ready to acceot the fact that there is racism in the house. He said we asked Jade where the statements she made to Shilpa racially motivated. Now tell who would admit yes the statement were racially motivated. So dumb of them instead of asking Jade they should concentrate on the 30000 complaints that viewers have.
