Can someone explain to me what is wrong with Mohan.

I don't understand the point in creating an imaginary world filled with fake happiness for the person you love. Is Mohan just being selfish and doing all this to make himself feel better? Will Megha really be happy once she knows that she is living a dream.

I was very happy with the actions Megha took once she found out that Addu is bad. But I can't say the same about Mohan. Yea, Addu is their child but still a criminal is a criminal doesn't matter who he is. He deserve forgiveness but only if he really regrets his mistakes. Megha understands it but maybe Mohan doesn't.

Helping Addu become a good person is a good step but creating fake happiness is clearly not.

Very interesting ,thought provoking post! Thank you! 👍🏼

And a very difficult question to answer! It's so complicated on so many levels actually.😉

And I'll start with a different question " Why is Mohan so determined to rehabilitate Addu? Even though he now knows the full truth re Addu and his criminal activities ?" ❓

I'll try and give a few of my own reasons re this issue:

1. Because Mohan always and still feels a sense of guilt re Addu's disappearance and his present condition .

2. Because he needed to fulfill the promise he made to Megha ,to return Addu,12 long years ago .

3. Because he thinks his family ( Megha and Nanhi!) could never be really whole or truly happy without Addu.

4. Because he loves Megha and Nanhi so much, and he wants them to be happy.

5. Because he feels his relationship with Megha could never heal completely with the shadow of Addu hanging over them.

6. Because he still feels sorry for Addu and wants to make it up to him, and mend their relationship once and for all.

And I'm sure they're more that can be added to my list.😉 All very true and valid reasons too! But maybe in his eagerness to rebuild and recreate his once happy family, he's too ready and willing to overlook Addus residual issues with him in the first place. In real life a child
like Addu needed family therapy to iron out his issues with Mohan as his step father, and apparently he still needs it even now! He still seems to be harboring deep feelings of resentment and intense, unreasonable dislike of Mohan, if today's epi is anything to go by! And the break neck speed and record pace of these " redemption" epis are not helping Mohan's cause !! 😉 Perhaps if the original NBT 2 story ,presuming there was one 😉, had continued then Addu's end result may have been different! Maybe the final conversion and redemption of Addu, with a happily ever after Bhatnagar clan, was in the works at the very last minute, who knows? But now with a change of plan ( the revamp!) it seems that Addu will not be redeemed whatsoever, and his unyielding condition to Mohan will be used to bring in the revamp!!

Such a pity really, it would have been interesting to see the various stages and shades of Addu's realization, repentance and redemption. But IMHO, all that has been switched and sacrificed to accommodate the revamp. Oh well, maybe not! Maybe it was always meant to happen this way!

And kinda sad from my pov, because yes, people do change, prisoners/ criminals do confess the error of their ways and try to do better, sinners do repent!! Though recidivism rates can be high, but there are some that succeed. And I was hoping Addu would be among these "some"!
I was hoping that this message would ring loud and clear through NBT 2! So unless the CVs intend to mislead us one more time, that message of hope , faith, perseverance, and redemption will be lost by Mohan and his family, and by some of us as well! Oh well! 😉

I would have been more shocked if Mohan reacted like Megha. Anyways I agree with Leesan regarding the reasoning of Mohan's action that she explained in her post. Nothing more to add, and I guess the ending was always like this cause the deep hatred Addu has for Mohan is something very hard to change, almost impossible perhaps!

Thanks for replying. 😃

I understand his reasons but I still don't see anything good coming out from creating this fake happy family. It will just bring more pain to Megha.

I never expected Mohan to react like Megha. I am happy that Mohan is helping Addu become a good person but keeping the truth hidden from Megha is clearly not the right thing to do.

I too am not getting why Mohan has accepted this condition. Addu is asking for a price for his own Mothers happiness!!!! It clearly suggests he has not changed. It will bring heartbreak for the entire family .How can he ever think that anyone except Addu could be happy without him in their lives. 😕REVAMP

sadly...we all knew dis was coming...
we all had predicted dat mohan will surely do watever addu wants him to do...
n mohan's behaviour is very much expected...he is doing all dis for addu...just because he himself feels guilty n responsible for all dat he went through in dese years...n he is doing watever he can so dat he is happy n he returns back to his mom n sis...so everyone knew it very well dat mohan would do dis...n thus dis will facilitate d revamp...maybe megha after knowing d truth finally disowns addu n will search for mohan...
n im really happy dat cvs have not redeemed him just for d sake of happy ending coz its impossible dat a person like him will change in such a short span of time...yes we could have seen his whole redemption process if d original story would have been followed n dis revamp thing hadnt come in between...
so blame it on d revamp...
