TOI Article Wasim Sabir quits

Today (July 19, 2013 is director Waseem Sabir's last day) on the sets of Ek Veer Ki Ardaas — Veera.

Waseem, who has been with the show since the pilot episode, said, "It is a mutual decision between me and the production house. There are a lot of reasons for me quitting, foremost being that one has to move on in life. You have to end something to make a new beginning. At present I am taking a break for Ramzaan."


When asked that who he would miss the most from the sets, he said, "Definitely Sneha Wagh,Shagufta Ali and the two kids, Harshita and Bhavesh. We were like a family and I have been on a lot of outdoor shoots with them too." He said he felt "like a teacher would feel when he sees a successful student" when he sees Harshita act. "This was her first show, so I and my team of assistants taught her everything. I am also proud to see Bhavesh's variations. They two will go a long way. Meri chhati garv se choudi ho gayi thi when the two kids were nominated in the lead category in a recent awards show. Veera has been my finest work till date," said Waseem, who had earlier directed daily soaps like Phir Subah Hogi and Maryada: Lekin Kab Tak?
