Me too 😃. I try to believe (for the show's sake) that such family stays in some hidden or parallel universe like Harry Potter. That makes it easier to accept that there are family patriarch's with 2 wives or that father credits DIL when she manages to sleep with his son 🤢@Ruchi,
The change in characters may be the story taking a different direction than originally intended.Or maybe this was always planned 😊. The reason I am saying this is because of the speed at which the current track was executed. Shows run for years (as far as I know) so the current 'make Raj guilty and make him fall for Sarita' could not have been the final track and they could not have moved ahead to any other track without changing Raj or Sarita at all. Problem is that since characters were very one-dimensional to begin with and not established well, so any change looks jarring and abrupt instead of natural growth or response to changed circumstances.I am not surprised by Raj wanting so desperately to keep Sarita alive. He has been shown to care for life (saving Divya on that rainy day despite not knowing that it was Divya he was saving or saving her from those rapists). He has been shown to be aware of Sarita's physical discomfort too. So here there is not only humanity, but also guilt at how he has ruined Sarita's life. So I can understand that part. The problem is his transformation from a nice guy to such a detached aloof person in a moment and then being that way for 10 years and then suddenly changing to a caring aware guy who can feel empathy for others. Since they have given such a big timeline and nothing has been shown of the backstory, all this is too abrupt for me.Totally agree. But you know what, Raj's character is weird - he was aware of Sarita's discomfort when she was drenched but let her sleep on floor for 10 years 😡. They are quite rich and the room is pretty big as well - he could have ordered a new bed or a couch for her. The family knows about the internals of their relationship - so no uncomfortable questions would have come. All that "humanity" appears shallow when I think of that. Also Raj showing concern is new for Sarita - so I don't think he did something proactively to show his concern earlier.Sarita to me partially came out of her self-absorbed world when she realized that it was not love the way Raj was manipulated. But then what remains unchanged about her is that Divya is still both a punching bag and a soft target on whom she takes out her anger. She was acting as if Divya had been sleeping peacefully while she was all worried about Raj. There is still no empathy for Divya.Sarita acknowledges to herself and others that Divya is doing her a huge favour - so gratitude is definitely there. As far as empathy is concerned I would give her a benefit of doubt here - she doesn't know Divya well enough to know that Divya is not over Raj. After all, Divya was getting married to someone else. So, from Sarita's POV, she was moving ahead in life. Sarita bullying Divya does not go well with me either - but I think of it more as anger management issue and insecurity. She has a big mouth and a tendency to be rude - maybe she developed it fighting all the abuse or always had it.Regarding superstitions and all this black magic, there have been many serials where this has been shown. I have always thought that it is highly irresponsible to perpertuate such things. But lately I have been wondering if these serials are not a reflection of the society. The PHs/Channels owners/TV executives/writers are here to make money and if regressive shows/superstitions sell, then so be it. I have now met few people brought up in bigger cities from educated families who themselves are educated. Some of them are in high positions and do not have time or have disdain for TV shows. Yet I have seen them believing quite firmly in black magic, superstitions etc. So I am wondering if regression in society is a driver for such shows or if such shows make a society more regressive or are two factors feeding on one another.😃. I would have liked Raj infinitely more (not that tough as I don't like him now) had he taken Sarita for full health checkup or accident -proofed his hours instead of walking on ambers. I know makers wanted to show the greatness of his character (and make Sarita / Divya guilty), it ended up looking like stupidity to me. I wouldn't have minded it as much had he first taken her to doctor and doctor would have said that medical care won't help her as she's in last stage of cancer or whatever - could have been another of Divya's plan. People do resort to such extremes when nothing else helps. You are right about some people believing in such stuff regardless of education / background but still I still don't like to see it. Maybe shows should be a little more socially responsible and show that such beliefs are not really okay.As far as small town vs. large towns are concerned, I always laugh at logic of creatives (of any show). The people's behavior is not a function of a size of a city or town even though in bigger cities/towns, one has more opportunity to observe a diverse population. It is a function of one's family and value system. An educated person can be quite backward and vice versa. But expecting a logic in any show for a long time (no matter how much they promote it as progressive) is a waste of time.
Raj was in deep freezer for the last 10 years , who could not see the sufferings of his wife in his family ,after Divya,s departure and then coming back of Divya triggered something and First Raj ,s heart thawed which started caring for the person ,knowing she has just 1 month left to live . Care does not mean love . now Raj,s brain is also thawing gradually ,as thinking his wife , PV , who can give her happiness so that he is also free .. Now Sarita has awaken from her dreams at last ,makers took quite long time to awake Sarita to reality . She will like Raj,s PV. Now the actually title of the show is logically used . And Divya a mute spectator , emotionally spent . Now the sacrifice mission starts . All three are ready . Will really like if at the end of the show Divya is shown leaving the house with her magic wand, not looking back , making things right then at the end of the road she meets someone with full of life , merging in to horizon . do not have to tell who is someone , Misti,s Bholu , like kabhi han kabhi na. . I just saw the last scene . All are good actors with expressions and all . this show needs will to execute the story logically .
