mm990 requested a positive wala OS, whereas Marie_789 requested a pregnant Madhu wala OS. So I decided...why not combine them?
I'd like to make it clear that this will probably not happen in the show because I doubt Madhu will be shown as pregnant and the story I made up behind Sultan/Meera...I don't know if makes sense and I don't think the show will be so happy, happy.
Anyways, say hello to Positive Pritt, enjoy, and goodnight (I've only had 2 hours sleep in 48 hours)!
All's Well That Ends Well
RK stood, pacing back and forth in his room; forgetting everything that had happened the past few days, just to be by his wife's side. She lay peacefully on the bed, watching her husband becoming more worried with every step. The doctor packed his bag and stood. He turned to face a worried RK whose steps came to a stop.
"What is it doctor? Is she alright…?"
"She's perfectly healthy."
"Then what happened?"
Madhu's eyes shot towards the doctor as her ears became alert. If she was healthy, what could've possibly gone wrong?
"Congratulations Mr. Kundra, you're going to be a father."
"F…fath…"
He couldn't complete the word. RK trailed off as his eyes landed on a shocked Madhu. Such a news during the circumstances they had been dealing with felt like torture. Unable to celebrate the joy of an upcoming child due to the sorrows that filled the air.
"Bittuji!"
Bittuji came running into the room instantly, as though he had been standing right outside.
"See the doctor out."
"Okay Chief."
As soon as RK heard the room door close behind Bittuji, RK walked towards Madhu's bedside. He took a seat down on the bed, facing his wife who remained stunned. As soon as his hand went to caress the side of her face, she blinked her eyes and stared into RK's. With a momentary eye-lock, RK wiped away at the tears falling from Madhu's eyes.
"Now…? Why now RK? WHY NOW?!"
Not being able to hold it in much longer, she threw herself into RK's arms and broke down. Tears flowed from her eyes, landing on RK's shoulder as he rubbed her back for comfort.
"Shh…"
She pulled away slightly; astonished at the fact that he was handling the news so well. As she stared up into RK's eyes, she saw nothing. No happiness, pain, sorrow, cheer…nothing. He stared down into her eyes emotionlessly.
"RK?"
"Hm?"
"How…why aren't you saying anything?"
"What do I say Madhu? What do you want me to say?"
"Something. Anything. Don't say nothing."
He slowly pulled out of her light embrace to stand up. With his back towards her, he began to walk towards their wedding picture, which hung on a wall.
"I have nothing to say."
Madhu got off the bed and went to stand behind her husband.
"I'm pregnant RK."
He slowly turned to see her staring up at him through moist eyes. He gently placed his hands on her shoulders and directed her back towards the bed. After seating her on the edge of the bed, he took a seat on the ground in front of her.
"I can't do this Madhu."
"I know you can't RK…but we can. Together. I need you RK. I can't do this alone."
He looked towards the ground as Madhu's hand began to run gently through his tousled hair.
"I don't want to bring a child into this cruel world Madhu. I don't want to."
Madhu's hand slid off his head slowly as she understood what he was saying. As he felt her hand leave his head, he raised his face to stare up at his wife. She sat staring, stunned once again.
"I'm a terrible human being. I don't have a surname. What will I say when our child asks about his grandparents? Our child will have no surname. We can't do this Madh…"
"CHIEF!"
RK trailed off as Bittuji ran into the room. RK turned his head to stare up at Bittuji.
"It's all over the news Chief!"
"What?"
"Rashid's in custody! Sultan's not your brother!"
At the sound of a scream below, RK jumped up, not being able to respond to the confusing news. Madhu instantly stood and stared at RK, shocked.
"Madhu, you stay here, I'll be r…"
"I'm coming."
Knowing there was no time to argue, he rushed out of the room with Madhu following closely behind. As they reached the bottom of the steps, they saw a fuming Sultan, standing with a gun pointed at Sikky.
Madhu noticed RK's hands turn to fists as he began to step forwards. Sultan's gun changed direction to point straight at RK.
"RK!"
Mahdhu grabbed his arm, holding him back as he struggled to get free.
"No Madhu! Don't stop me today!"
"RK, STOP! Think about our…."
She trailed off, not wanting to make an announcement in such a situation. RK went calm beneath her grip and watched as Sultan approached him. Madhu spoke up as RK stood protectively in front of her.
"Sultan, stay back."
"Madhu, I told you to come, didn't I? I told you to come!"
"HEY! Don't you dare talk to my biwi like that"
"Madhu, come with me. You can leave everything and start fresh with m…"
As Sultan spoke to Madhu, he didn't even notice the punch RK had flung at his face. With a kick up at Sultan's hand, the gun went flying. RK grabbed Sultan by the collar and began to speak as Madhu tried to stop him.
"How dare you."
"RK let him go!"
RK refused to listen as Sultan and him stared each other down.
"I'm going to make Madhu mine, RK!"
"HEY!"
RK grabbed the sword that hung on the wall nearest to them. Madhu instantly froze as RK held the sword in front of Sultan.
"Not today RK. Today I'm going to win and you're going to lose."
Sultan grabbed the other hanging sword and eyed RK. Screams filled the air as Madhu and Radha stepped back to see RK and Sultan engaging in a sword fight.
"Madhu…Madhu! Do something. Stop them…Rishu will get hurt!"
"Ma. Ma, calm…I'll stop them."
Without thinking, Madhu ran towards the sword fight.
"Stop you two!"
They remained oblivious to her presence until Madhu noticed Sultan had the upper hand. Just as his sword was about to hit RK, Madhu jumped in front. She gasped as she felt the sword stab her upper abdomen. Silence fill the air as all eyes fell on Madhu. She began falling as RK yelled out her name. As she landed gently in RK's arms, she felt her body going numb. She tried to maintain consciousness long enough to stare Sultan in the eyes and speak.
"Y…you lost….Sult…."
And with that, her eyes closed. RK wiped away at his tears as he yelled at Bittuji to call a doctor. Sultan bent over to pick her up when suddenly RK put out his hand. With a glare in Sultan's direction, RK spoke in a threatening voice.
"You've done enough damage. GET OUT!"
Knowing it was his fault, Sultan began to back away, leaving Madhu in the arms of the man he despised.
---
RK stood alone in the hallway of the hospital, too angry to let anyone else be near him or his wife, when Bittuji came running in.
"How is she Chief?"
"No one's telling me anything! Bittuji, I won't be able to live without her. I can't…"
"Chief, she'll be okay. She's your sherni after all. She knows how to get through everything. Actually…Chief…I need to tell you something."
RK looked towards Bittuji with a questioning look.
"I went to check the reports on Rashid's arrest and everything's been confirmed. In fact, Rashid spilled the truth."
"What?"
"Chief, Sultan's not your father's son. Everything's out in the open. Meera is Rashid's sister. Meera became pregnant out of wedlock and so your father took her hand in a temporary, secret wedding contract to save his driver's sister from disgrace. He married her but then divorced her soon after she gave birth, just as the contract stated! Rashid blackmailed your father with images of Meera and his wedding. He told your father that if he didn't do as he said, then he'd release the images to the press. He blackmailed your father into kidnapping Sultan from Meera and also had your father pay him money without having to work. The day your father took his life was the day Radhaji got the picture of Meera and your father's wedding. No one was there to tell her the true story behind everything."
Though glad that Sultan was not his brother, RK couldn't help but break down. After disrespecting his late father at the lake and his mother just the day before, RK couldn't handle the emotional pain. He slid down the wall, trying to control himself with the help of Bittuji.
"Chief! Everything will be fine. Sultan made a public apology already. He's already left the city."
"If anything happens to my Madhu…"
Just as he began to speak from behind his tears, the doctor walked out of the operation theater. RK stood up instantly and rushed towards the doctor.
"How is she?! How's my Madhu?!"
"Your wife is in stable condition."
RK sighed as a feeling of joy overwhelmed him momentarily. Just as the joy came, he felt it vanish as he remembered his child.
"And our…child…?"
Bittuji, who was unaware of this news, stood shocked. He put his hands in praying position, hoping nothing had happened to their child.
"The stab wound luckily did not pass through the womb. Your child is okay."
Bittuji smiled and hugged his chief from the side as RK took in all the joy finally.
"When can I see her?"
"She's been asking for you for the past 10 minutes in an unconscious state. She began gaining consciousness as I was leaving the room. You may go visit her now. Only one person though."
"Thank you doctor!"
"It's what I do."
As the doctor walked off, RK turned towards Bittuji. Bituji smiled as he patted RK on the back and gestured towards the door.
"RK rushed through the hospital doors to see Madhu lying slightly awake on the hospital bed.
"R…K…?"
"Madhu!"
He rushed towards her bedside and kissed her forehead instantly. He sat on the nearest stool and grabbed her hand. He kissed her hand and bent over to kiss her cheek.
"You're okay. Thank God you're okay!"
Madhu's hand slowly went to rest on her stomach.
"Our baby's okay too Madhu."
She smiled as a tear formed her in eye. She moved over in the bed and patted beside her. RK gently got into the bed beside her, making sure not to hurt her fragile body in any way. He placed his arm under her head as she closed her eyes and snuggled closer to him. He kissed her head, gently placed his hand ontop of hers on her stomach and watched as she smiled up at him tiredly. He smiled back down and then quietly whispered.
"Everything's going to be okay now. Everything's going to be okay."
