Ahh i haven't commented for quite some time! I'm extremely sorryyy for that!
The story is going great! and i know how wonderfully you write the mitwa moments! my favorites till now arewhen Zoya was finding the cell phone in asad's pocket and the pizza scene!you know i read some comments n most of them are asking you about the apple so i was thinking how about you change the name to "The story of the infamous apple"haha, the apple has given this story a very snow white-y touch đOoh la la do we see Zoya eating the apple and then a kiss đ lolUpdate soonish please! (:
"Rukiye na Mr Khan! It's not even 8 yet, why in the world are you going to sleep so early?" Zoya asked quizzically, thoroughly confused at Asad's strange behaviour. She weaved through the furniture to go after him when he didn't answer her. She managed to grab his wrist right before he entered his room, leaving him with no choice but to finally stop.
"Dinner hogaya, ab kuch baaki raha hai karne ke liye? No right? So what's wrong with turning in early?" Asad replied, as he tried to push Zoya's hand away from his wrist. Her grip was surprisingly strong though.
"Kyunki only old people sleep at 8! Come on, we can play antakshari to pass the time!" Zoya pleaded, as she tugged at Asad and forced him to follow her back to the living room. Asad dragged his feet as he walked behind her, admitting defeat. There was no way Zoya was going to give up anyway. If he did resist and go to his room, she'd just barge right in as well.
"Par mujhe koi bhi gaana nahi aata! I don't watch any Hindi films alright?" Asad insisted, as Zoya pushed him down onto the sofa. She rolled her eyes at him before taking a seat next to him and resting her feet on the coffee table yet again, earning a low growl of disapproval from him.
"Accha! Aur woh 'Zindagi Ki Yehi Reet Hai' ka gaana kisi aur gaa raha tha issi sofa pe? Don't try to weasel yourself out of this Mr Khan. Now you can start with 'm'. Go ahead, come on!" Zoya ordered Asad, as she easily pointed out his logic flaw. Asad covered his face with both his hands. This girl was impossible. But then, so was he!
"I can't start with 'm'. I can only start with 'z'. Because 'Zindagi Ki Yehi Reet Hai' is the only song I know," Asad lied stubbornly, completely against the idea of singing to Zoya alone. He could easily think of a million love songs that could easily put the both of them in a spot if either of them sang it. And he couldn't afford to do that. His self-control had limits.
"Aap kitne stubborn ho Mr Khan! Accha theek hai. We'll play Pictionary instead! And now don't tell me you can't draw. You're an architect. If you can't draw, then I don't know how you could've possibly made it through college," Zoya pointed out, cutting off any attempt by Asad to argue his way out of this one. She smiled when Asad shrugged in response, and she quickly rummaged through the stationery on the coffee table to find a paper and pencil, setting it next to the candle.
"Okay, you go first! Here take this book, and draw out the third word on the first page you flip to when you open it," Zoya instructed, as she picked up a book that was lying there, called 'One Hundred Years of Solitude'. Zoya frowned upon reading the title of the book. Only someone like Asad would find joy in reading a book about solitude. No wonder he wanted to retire to his room. But too bad, Zoya hated being left alone, so he'd just have to find a way to deal with her company.
"The third word on this page is 'the'. Okay your turn," Asad said as he randomly flipped to a page in the book. He tried to hand the book over to Zoya, but she had her arms crossed over her chest, as she pouted at him in disdain. Asad suppressed his smile as he watched her. Her pouts always made her look really cute.
"Then just choose another word on the page Mr Khan! Why are you so exasperating?" Zoya half-yelled at Asad, as she turned towards him. Asad continued staring at her with a poker face, and Zoya began to charge forward at him to wrap her fingers around his neck. Violence seemed like the only option now.
Asad managed to figure out what Zoya was going to do as she began leaning in to him, and dodged her just in the nick of time. But that made Zoya lose her balance, and she fell over onto him, her forehead bumping against his shoulder. She groaned in what sounded like pain to Asad, so he quickly shifted around to cup Zoya's face and lift her head off his shoulder. He used his thumb to softly rub the part of her forehead which had come in contact with his shoulder.
"Are you okay Miss Farooqui?" Asad whispered, as the motion of his thumb began to slow into a gentle caress. He leaned in further to blow softly at her forehead, as Zoya closed her eyes and took in the beautiful sensation. She allowed Asad to continue to stroke her head for a while before she finally opened her eyes and nodded, to let him know that she was fine. Asad stopped moving his thumb in a circular motion as before, but didn't remove his hands from cupping her face either, keeping his eyes locked on hers.
"Um, Mr Khan, main theek hoon. Why don't you try another word on that page?" Zoya finally said out loud, breaking the silence and the moment between them. Asad pulled his hands away from Zoya's face reluctantly, as he nodded and reached for the book yet again. Zoya shifted slightly away from Asad once he'd let go of her, trying to put a respectable distance between them.
She looked over Asad's shoulder as he began on his drawing, starting with an oval shape. Zoya's forehead creased in concentration as she tried to make sense of Asad's sketch, once he'd begun drawing in some details as well.
"Is it a rugby ball? Or is it a potato? Nahi nahi, what's that? You're drawing in eyes? It's a person? Oh my, this is so difficult!" Zoya exclaimed, as she got caught up in the moment. She leaned all the way onto Asad's shoulder as she tried to inspect his drawing, restricting his arm movement as well. He shot a look at her and Zoya quickly lifted her chin from his shoulder, biting her lower lip sheepishly.
"Will you please let me complete my drawing before jumping in?" Asad asked sarcastically, and Zoya quickly nodded in agreement, hoping he wouldn't back out now because of her childishness. Thankfully, he glared at her for a split second more before turning his attention back to his sketch. Zoya watched as Asad began sketching a nose, with as utmost detailing as he did with the eyes. She had to admit, he could draw excellently. But what was he drawing?
