Depends on whether they're interesting. Usually not because you either have to know something about the other show, or they're super boring, or both.

No its just a way to use one shows popularity to make another show gain trps. Like for example they used Qubool Hai's popularity to try and increase the trps for Punar Vivah. Its not needed
