Supernatural Season 9 SPOILERS: Jim Beaver Returning As Bobby Singer, Actor Tweets Confirmation

Fans of the Winchesters' surrogate father Bobby Singer on "Supernatural" received some good news on Monday night as actor Jim Beaver confirmed his return to the show on Twitter.

Bobby died midway through Season 7 and then hung around as a ghost for a while until the boys put his soul to rest. In Season 8, the boys discovered that Crowley had taken Bobby to Hell, but Sam got him out and they sent him up to Heaven where he belonged.

But in the Season 8 finale, thousands of angels fell from Heaven thanks to Metatron's scheme. That could explain Bobby's return as he could have been part of the expulsion.

Beaver told TVLine at the Critics Choice TV Awards in June:

"Where did this last season end up? Heaven, right? And where's Bobby...?"

"Supernatural" returns on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 9 p.m. on the CW.

Comic-Con 2013 'Supernatural' Season 9 Spoilers: Mark Sheppard's Crowley's Cure had 'Profound' Effect, Abaddon's Challenge

In the last episode of season 8, the characters of Supernatural set out to cure a demon.

Not just any demon, however. The Winchester brothers (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles) decided that, since Crowley (Mark Sheppard) had been keeping his demons away from them, they would have to take on the King of Hell himself.

Things didn't go quite as planned for the hunters and Crowley was left in a state of limbo as "Sacrifice" came to an end.

While Sam (Padalecki) attempted to cure him, Crowley clearly exhibited some form of emotion as he yelled about deserving, and needing, to be loved. Although the King of Hell looked rather confused to hear himself say such sentimental statements, his change in demeanor left the door open for a new take on the character in season 9.

"I wouldn't say he's cured, the situation was never finished," Sheppard told MTV on Saturday at the San Diego Comic-Con. "I'm pretty certain, I'm very certain, that it has had a profound effect on him, and it's not exactly going to be the easies thing for him to shrug off."

Crowley might need to push past these issues quickly simply for the sake of keeping his position as the ruler downstairs. Dean (Ackles) and Sam accidently let Abaddon (Alaina Huffman), the last surviving Knight of Hell, out into the world again and she appears determined to knock Crowley off his throne.

"There's defiantly some push coming from some other angles towards his position as the King of Hell and right now he's unfortunately in the clutches of the two tall gentlemen, [Sam and Dean]," Sheppard informed MTV.

Crowley's presence with the Winchesters opens up the possibility that the trio will perhaps fight together to take down the far more insidious Abaddon. After all, better the demon you know than the Knight you don't.

New Supernatural season 9 major spoilers revealed by Producer & EW. Recently, Entertainment Weekly dished up their new spoiler room, spoiler chat session,and served up some major spoilers for Supernatural season 9,via Executive Producer, Jeremy Carver. It turns out that we're going to see more "Men Of Letters" action going down.

Then we'll see Dean and Sam having to deal with a whole bunch of fallen angels. Dean is also going to find himself being able to talk to animals,so that should be interesting. Jeremy stated, "We'll be delving a lot more into that,and in fact we'll be seeing the very first two hunters to ever be stationed at the men of letters bunker. That's a really, really fun episode we have coming up early in the season where we will be flashing back to 1935."

Next, he touched upon the whole fallen angel situation,stating, " it will take at least the first three episodes for the show to get back into the case-of-the-week format as before, then they'll be dealing with the fallout of thousands of angels falling from the sky. There are a lot of pieces to pick up. As we pick up those pieces, we're always introducing new things, but we're very much in the world of consequences of last season."

Lastly, Executive Producer Robert Singer, revealed that Dean will become what he calls, Doctor Dean-little,talking to animals and what not. Robert explained, " Yes, he talks to animals. One of the highlights being Dean getting into a brawl with a pigeon," Then Carver dished, "It's a logical progression from fairies to pigeons." Stay tuned. Season 9 is scheduled to debut on October 15th

Supernatural 9.08 Teasers: Sheriff
Mills Returns!

When Sheriff Mills was last spotted
on Supernatural, she was being killed
by Crowley. In the season 8 finale,
Crowley had lured her out to dinner
under the pretence of a date and
then slowly started choking her,
using her as leverage against the
Winchesters so they would hand over
the Demon Tablet. Fortunately for
Jodi, Sam and Dean agreed to
Crowley's deal and her life was
spared (although we didn't actually
see that).
She'll be returning in a late
November episode. Here's what we
know about "A Rock and Hard Place":
"Sheriff Mills (guest star Kim
Rhodes) calls Sam (Jared Padalecki)
and Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help
investigating multiple murders in her
small town. Discovering all four
victims belonged to the same church
chastity group, Sam and Dean decide

Sam and Dean in a chastity group?
That sounds interesting/possibly
hilarious. Hopefully we'll also see
some fun Jodi and Sam bonding like
we did the last time the two paired
up to save Dean in "Time After
Time".
