1. Kumud thinks she can handle everything herself and informs her family of her decisions only after events have taken shape. She did this when Sara first refused her via a letter and again over the phone when he called to cancel the wedding. All she had to do is run downstairs put the phone and speaker and get him to talk to the entire family and make it a joint decision.
2. Kumud's father VC is another will o' wisp. First he never informs his daughter Kumud that Saras's mom had committed suicide. Then he totally forgets that Saras had saved him from being burnt alive! And finally he is totally oblivious that his friend LN is a turncoat and Gooman ka ghulam!

I agree, Kumud kept a lot to herself. I feel like she wanted to protect her family from further heartbreak by dealing with it herself which was a mistake.
Yes, VC should have informed his daughter about Saras' history that would have made sense. Not to mention Saras saved his family from dishonor by taking the rap for Yash's crime too.
Perhaps both of these things are going to be chalked up to fate, apart from Guman's ceaseless interfering in their lives. She wouldn't leave until he left, then she issued her venom on everyone. Most of them deserve some blame. Even Kumari didn't confide in her mother so she left herself open to this disaster. But I feel Guman really took advantage of the situation. No argument with what you have written.

Yes Guman is a B****! I hate her. I feel so sorry for Saras! But sometimes one mistake can cost you. I guess coz this was the second time he rejected her, there was No turning back. Kumud lost faith in him and agreed to the marriage with Pramad for her family honour! Just like Paro did in Devdas!

I felt so sorry for Saras when he found out Kumud is getting married!

I feel sorry for both of them. I know it was the second time he rejected her, but even the first time I feel that he was a victim of Guman's freezing him out of his father's life, that all he seemed to do was run the business his father built. But there was never any affection between them. Guman is the wall between Saras and his happiness, honestly. Yeah I cant stand Devdas for the same reason I don't like this track. Am not a big fan of unrequited love. I felt SLB could have done better than give me some OTT track where Saras and Kumud get cheated out of the beauty and joy that would have been their love.
Yes he rejected her, but like another member said Kumud didn't bother to reveal to her family what happened until he cut her off then she threw the phone etc. So everyone is at fault here.
Honestly, I hope this is written off as a dream and Saras wakes up thinking he had a nightmare and calls Kumud who reassures him they are very much engaged and she is waiting for him. If the cvs need help with this one, I am ready and willing. 😳

LN is fault marrying guman.
VC is fault should have said everying about his mom(how she ended her life)
Before taking this nasty decision of marriage VC being elder should have spoken to LN.
Saras lost his coolness after knowing the cause of his mom's death ... . he spoke to kumud that he cannot marry her.He should have told her to give sometime.
Before leaving dubai he should have phoned kumud .
Kumud cannot take hasty decision.Family is importanat at the sametime her life too . she is ruining.her life.
Dugba knows saras very well atleast she should have spoken to saras.
From my POV all r faulty .

True, but you know something I feel Guman is the most blameworthy of all of them. Because of the fact that she did it for greed, not because she feels Kumud isn't good enough for Saras. She herself was hardly from a high position when she married a man of Laxminandan's stature, so who exactly is she to turn around and judge Kumud and her entire family? She takes the cake. 😡
