Dipole: A pair of equal and oppositely charged or magnetized poles separated by a distance

After seeing more of a dynamic between Raghu and Antara, and reading through what some of the forum members have said, I thought I'd make a post. Firstly, I said this before and I'll say this again, Raghu and Antara do not look like the typical couple ie, in my opinion the guy is not exceptionally handsome and the girl is not exceptionally pretty - but together, they do look like a good couple, in the sense that it's more realistic. And as much as I dislike Raghu's growing facial hair (I like guys with more of a stubble 😆), it does somewhat suit the way he is. They are not perfect, but then neither are any other couple in the world. Also, on a side note, yes Nikita could improve on her acting especially her voice projection, but I'm letting it slide for now as she is new, and I'm waiting for her main scene that'll show off her talents**. But I think Ayaz is brilliant as Raghu!

So back to the post, Raghu and Antara are both two different people who have gone through the same process; the loss of a parent. I watched yesterday's episode and found that it was quite interesting how Raghu kept telling Antara that 'to let Ishaan grow up because it'll be better for him, and he'll be a man', yet to me, it seemed as if Raghu was telling Antara about himself. I can't wait until Antara finds out what happened to his parents, because she'll see that they aren't really that different from each other after all! Also, I feel like Raghu has this thing of wanting people stay close to him and he does this through threatening them and controlling them. Yeah he's Dayi Mai (Is that how you say it? LOL 😳) protege and all but you would only do something (and as Antara calls it 'acting like a goon') if you yourself chooses it (seeing as it seems like Raghu holds respect for Dayi Mai and I'm sure it's the same for her) - so maybe Raghu himself wants to control people for the fear of losing them? Just like he lost his mother? and/or father? But then Antara came along and she constantly breaks all his efforts, and irritates him because he cannot control her - he can't keep her close to him because she's so abrupt all the time. So he does what he knows best, hurts the ones around her because he can't control her, but then that makes her even more mad, creating an ongoing cycle. Both of them have issues, Raghu it's the problem of having the need to (forcibly) keep people close and Antara it's the problem of allowing someone else to help and to let out her emotions.

I so love this montage because there's so many things that are being said, even without any words! I, for one, think this montage is more about Antara than it is Raghu but it's Raghu who'll help her. Firstly, the rain which is usually linked with something said, Antara's truth maybe? The fact that her life is no less than a storm right now because of everything that happened. She has a young brother who doesn't really understand about death and dying and a mother who is mentally unstable, she has moved from her beloved home to a place where she doesn't really fit in. She then meets Raghu who irritates her because of her own feelings and she can't really express herself because she has to care for her younger and mother. So what does she do? She pushes all her anger on Raghu (which Raghu even suggested when she started shouting at him but he told her to leave it for later and that to find Ishaan asap, maybe even Raghu got the hint that Antara expressed her anger on him because she can't express her father's death???). Antara is of course, stubborn and wants to find her own solutions to her problems, she doesn't even want to let anyone near her (for example, the previous episode where she and ishan were trying to escape without raghu but nearly got caught and it was Raghu that got them back). The umbrella - something that sheilds you from the rain seems broken, as if Antara cannot deal with her problem alone? But as usual, she is stubborn but Raghu, in his typical way takes off his jacket and puts it over her, as if to say that he'll be the one to help. He doesn't ask her, just simply does it becuse that's Raghu for you.

**I said before that I want a scene where Nikita's talent could be shown, and whilst watching the scene between Antara and Ishaan in the garage, I just thought that Antara never really did come into terms with her father's death did she? I mean yes she talked about it with Noor but she didn't break down because instantly they all shifted to Mumbai. What I would really love is if Antara's breakdown is shown and Raghu is there - because she needs to see that he is actually caring and not just a goon, and he needs to see that Antara had been hurting all this time inside! And I just had a thought, imagine Raghu finding out about Antara's love for music and her broken guitar, what if he buys a guitar for her???

Finally, just one last point - Antara's clothes. I think someone mentioned that she really needs to get different clothes (which I totally agree!) but then I thought, this was the clothes she wore in Kashmir - and what I wrote in another post that Antara (and other members) are living in this dream land where she is pretending nothing has happened. I don't want her to have a makeover just yet but more towards when her mother is better, her brother accepts the truth and Antara has her breakdown and expresses her feelings, because she needs to let her past go before looking to the future (ie, Raghu!). So having second thoughts, I think it'll be better if she gets better clothes (something that looks like she fits in) when her relationship with Raghu gets better and things are going well.

ANYWAY, that's just my two cents on the two characters!

firstly, you're a Jon Snow fan, aren't you?
see this

hilarious isn't it?

coming to the post, it's really well-written.
I found them to be a pretty typical couple, where boy girl bicker, and eventually fall in love. But after reading your post, it made me think about both of them & I realised that there is definitely more than what meets the eye.

Regarding Raghu, I feel the exact opposite of what you said. I feel that more than wanting to control people, Raghu is looking for intimacy & love which he probably has not had since his mother's death. Everyone around him lives in fear of him & they are not honest with him. He is aware of that. But Antara was the 1st one to tell him honestly that he is a bad person (which he is not but rather his profession is in some way) and that she is not afraid of him. So far, Raghu has probably had the longest interaction with Antara. In my opinion even with his 2 friends (assuming we'll see more emotional interactions btw the 3 of them) he is rather silent because they just do as he says and never question him. He is looking for someone who can stand next to him, rather than behind him.

I completely agree on the Raghu-Antara convo on Ishaan. He was hinting his own life story, and more than that, he was trying to indirectly hint to her that she needs to accept her father's death & move on.

I just have a problem with Antara's arrogance, which I feel was not the same Antara we saw in Kashmir. Sometimes, I find the fights a little forced. Like the whole fight on wanting to leave the garage. Even a kid would know that its unsafe to leave. Her so-called belief/statement that she knows nothing will happen to her, just further hinted her arrogance & desire to defy Raghu, which I believe has not been justified enough yet.

Just my opinion :)

Btw, I am Samridhi. You can call me by name or Sam/Sammy!

HOLY piece of... 🤣 I think I've just died of laughter. This is so genius! I love it! Still cannot laugh at the Jon Snow picture. OMG. 😆

And I loved your view on Raghu! It made me re-think mine! The whole 'Raghu is looking for intimacy' makes terrific sense! I think he does want intimacy but he does this in the wrong way - through force and fear, which he does realise about but its like he can't help himself! I get what you mean about Antara's arrogance and that the whole leaving the garage scene was totally silly as it didn't really do anything to the plotline - but then it sort of makes sense when you think about it; it just shows that Antara will not show herself to be weaker than Raghu (despite her inner turmoil) and will always keep fighting even though when she can't fight. I loved the beginning Antara! The way she was singing and her rock band in KASHMIR! She was so proud and happy and when we see her now, she's angry and sad - I guess we won't get that Antara back unless she actually does accept the truth.

Hey Sam/Sammy! =D 😆 Funny, I'm currently watching Supernatural and one of the brothers is called Sam =P

I so totally agree to what you have written about Raghu and Antara's characters. I just want to add one other thing that i feel about him, i think after Antara blaming her for being a bad guy, someone who only knows how to ruin lives of people, what raghu wants is that somehow she understands him, understands that he is not the guy he thinks he is and that Ishaan ko mard banao convo porbably showed that but Antara couldnt understand his point of view in that talk.

As far as Ayaz ahmed and Nikita are considered, i think Ayaz ahmed is just superb at what he is doing but i agree to facial hair part, they shouldn't zoom that much into his face, i have no choice but to look and count his facial hair which i think is sort of weird. =p and Nikita's clothes are okay, she is improving and in today's episode she looked cute i think. I think they wouldn't change her style of clothes as her character is seedhi si larki and she is from Kashmir too.

Lovely post BTW. I am Sundus. :)

Hi Sundus! Really liked your point of view 😛 Antara is someone who challenged him and that she's different to everyone else as she doesn't follow him unlike others. But like you said, I think deep down Raghu just wants Antara to understand him but he doesn't want to get close to her (fear of people leaving him??) which could explain why although he helps them, he doesn't really give himself a chance to tell the actual truth (adding to Antara's misconception).

Ahaha, I wish they wouldn't zoom too much as well! Well not unless he shaves or something =P I liked how they slightly changed her hair style from the whole side parting to back :)

Hey! Yes, I was - once upon a time! 😆
I actually do like this show and glad I stumbled myself on it! Though one thing on my wish list is that Raghu and Antara do not fall in love so quick! But then neither do I want any more misunderstandings. 🤔
But then according to the promos and Antara and Raghu running, seems like the real drama will only begin once they fall in love. 😛
