So we are back to the same process as recently -
The agency will measure TRPs and give that data to the sponsors.
The sponsors will use that TRP data to decide how much each serial's ad-slots are worth.
The channel will refuse to be involved in TRPs but will have to negotiate money with sponsors who stick to TRP data as a way of deciding serials money worth.😆
Audience may or may not find out the TRPs.
But this way if the channels can't even acknowledge TRPs for now, then the channels can't openly use vocal niche fans reaction as excuse or defence for bad TRPs while marketing serials ad-slots money-worth.
Seedhi baat, no bakwaas - with the sponsors who'll take a loss if the channels 'brilliant' tracks don't shape up in good TRPs.
The channels are in a worse situation this way, though at least they can save face except with the sponsors.
The sponsors will know the TRP.
Through the sponsors, the channel will also be informed of TRPs.
So when there are bad TRPs, their talking about a character's worth or a track's creative brilliance will be worthless, if it's costing huge loss by wasted ad-investment to the sponsors they are marketing the expensive adslots to.
Online fans are like window-shoppers, they are not a majority of TRP audience, only some of them form a small part of that mass group.
Now the shopkeeper has to sit and discuss directly with the major supplier whether the shop is capable of selling the supplies, or is simply listening to windowshoppers and taking the shop and the supplier for a huge loss by ignoring the actual revenue customers opinions.
