Barun is a good actor and for him a good script matters more

Can't see him running around trees and dancing in old Bollywood films style...Bollywood has evolved today dancing is really not must have skill...love barun's dancing and know he can always brush up dancing steps if required

He will do good in Hollywood too...independent films...wish he goes the path of irfan khan and is remembered for the roles he plays not just 100 croresbox office kind of film

Remember sanaya and him having fun saying "and Oscar goes to..." I would love to see barun receive an Oscar for his role in a film one day...his film doing well at Carnes...

Want him to be appreciated for his work no mater what film industry of the world he takes on a film for...wish he exposes himself to different work experience around the world...films is what will give him the experience in acting/exposure

Barun will succeed and go places for three qualities in him - courage confidence compassion and right attitude attitude

these days really apprehensive of commenting in any thread, hope all you said is in good spirit and thanx for what you said. He is a good actor, definitely he deserves accolades, but don't know what is to come. He deserves the best, God bless him for whatever he does.

me too feel the same it will be good if he follow the steps of irfan khan or naseerudin shah

i would lyk too see him in gangster kind of films , or sumthing lyk rockstar ...i dont know y but i think he will look amazing on stage with gitar n giving those intense angry looks with beard n all , or sumthing lyk rock on ...he will be amazing playing farhan akhtar's role ...these kind of movies dont need kissing scenes too so i'll be happy ...i dont know y but i would not lyk seeing him kiss on screen ...

or sweet real romance where u dont have to dance n all stuff

It's in positive spirit...wish him wholeheartedly to excel in projects he takes on failure success will only let him grow...he has right attitude

true he cant go dancing around trees but now a days bollywood is much more than that... even AMIR KHAN cant shake his legs like HRITHIK but he has his own place and both are equally strong!!

the one factor one should not lack in is ACTING .. as for BARUN not just him.. he makes us act the scene with him...

HE CRIES WE CRY

he SMILES WE SMILE
HE goes wild at a ramp and we are already throwing tantrums and curses

HE blushes at his CO star and we drool equally

he has got the main factor.. humor serious, angry young man, killer looks striking physique and beyond all a good human being!! i am sure he will create his place in BOLLYWOOD>... may be not at the very first move but this man is gonna rock and roll and give us more chances to love and applaud for him.. and in this journey i am sure he will gather more attention and more fandom...

and whats left.. he will get his crown and sit in the throne of STARDOM and finally after getting millions of awards will give a statement: I MEAN I AM JUST LIKE ANY OF YOU.. A SIMPLE GUY... AND WHAT THE!! I rEALLY HAVE SO MANY FANS.. I NEVER KNEW!!!

agree, he's a really good actor, and what is more important is he appeals to an international desi and non-desi audience and is quite relevant right now in what he brings to the table. indian cinema has really evolved into lots of different genres which vary from mainstream to off the beaten track but all have the potential to be successful on a larger scale than they were before. the script really is key and i also think he has the right attitude, so i'm hoping for a bit of good luck for him too! i'm interested to see the projects he will choose to do in the future godwilling and hoping for some amazing moments onscreen from him.

^^well said, now cinema has grown so much that it can accommodate actors of different genres. The only thing that is necessary is acting skill, there is no doubt that Sobti can act and i don't think anyone has a different opinion for that matter. Dancing is not all in cinema, but I am sure if he wants, he can polish that skill too.

True Indian film industry has evolved and he is in at the right time...when Bollywood is coming out with some great scripts, brilliant new age directors New vision technology...happy for him

He has created a niche for himself...right attitude hard work good script will do well...he takes risk and does not settle for beaten path...his simplicity is his charm...being one of us is what connects him to people
