Balika Vadhu - Flagship - 'Sinking Ship'

Hi Guys..Sorry for this long post. Below (in blue) is an open letter (mail) to colors that I mailed today. I don't know how much of use is this for us or how much of sense does it make to the channel and production house. But, after yesterday's episode, I literally had to bombard somebody with all my frustration 😭 and who else is better target than the PH themselves. 😡

Balika Vadhu - once the flagship show of colors and still a "flagship" show of colors as the channel claims it, is now a sinking ship.

For GOD's sake do the creatives even know what are they dishing out in the name of social messages and sensibilities??
Where in the world do you really see a bratty girl and sister of a gentleman getting hitched to her sis-in-law's once hopeless, now helpless ex-husband.

Just by showing some random moral message at the end of the show does not help redeem it's glory. And what kind of messages are these?? A school going kid can give better morals than these so-called "intellectuals" who are at the helm of, this once dream-boat called, Balika Vadhu.

What is the actual balika vadhu in the serial up to, apart from wide-opening her eyes filled with glycerin most of the time, with blank expressions on her face? Where is the once-famous sizzling chemistry of the TV's favourite couple Shiv-Anandi? What's with not 1, not 2 but 3 marriages to the doctor-dude? Where is Gauri? How could you end such a powerful character abruptly? What happened to one of the most sensible characters that we had seen - Sumitra? Where is Dadisa's autocracy and control, over her arrogant and as-bratty-as-Sanchi daughter in law Sumitra? Only Bhairon seems sane minded of all the lot, but he is only given some helpless expressions to portray on the screen. Shekhar parivaar only knows the samosa eating and chai drinking techniques, nothing apart from that. What's up with Mahi-Ashima and Shiv-lookalike Vikram? What are you planning to do with Ganga? Marriage #4 with dactar-sa? Is that all Ganga was brought in for?

I could go on and on and on. But, I don't even have the strength to digest the fact that once a classic called Balika Vadhu is now, just another crap-churning serial. Channel and Production house is taking the audience for granted and showing anything on the screen, assuming it will all be accepted and their TRPs will boom up (which in any case has hit rock-bottom).

Please wake up ! Arrogance is the root of self-destruction. Audience are not fools. Please go around and do some survey on how audience feels about your show, even before the story is written. BV is done for most like me. If this story-line continues, the day when you have to close the shop is not far !!

~ A disgusted and frustrated fan of Balika Vadhu

All this while, I have been a very silent member of this forum, with a very high optimism on the replacement and the track. I know I had been a fool. But, I couldn't tolerate anymore seeing "Balika Vadhu" turn a trash and hence decided to vent out my frustration wherever possible and applicable. I'm sure and know that there are many like me here. Even if you feel there's no point/use, please bombard these guys with your frustrations at the maximum - colorstv@viacom18.com.

I am doing this since 27th of Feb 13 and many more, we didn't stop and that is the reason CVs gone bonkers and run out of ideas how to get lost viewers... But BV is gone case how could anybody assume that titanic could float again... NEVER!!!

I agree. I know how many of you really pursued to have the replacement reverted. As I said, I was one of those who was stuck to the underlying ideas and messages of BV, and sticking with it having in mind that the lost glory may be back with time. I was optimistic like many others. But, a late realization struck me and this time the damage is beyond repair !

Thanks for sharing your emotions ... most of us knew it post 27th Feb'13 so we were trying to address this issue and raised our concerns but to no avail so we left the show long back ...

The show lost its essence with the exit of Pratyusha.

The viewers (a section of them) lost the brightest pair of eyes they had seen in a long while (on TV).

The director (seemingly) lost his muse.

The CVs lost their inspiration.

Many of the rest of the actors lost their acting skills.

The storywriter lost his plot.

The PH lost their story.

The channel lost their flagship.

And, the entire audience lost the show they loved to watch. 😭

Domino effect or karma?

thank god we stop watching on 27th feb 2013 they all think highly of themselves, if they didn't they wouldn't be in this situation, You know when someone in denile about something, it felt like that to me. 1st strike Pratushya was the charm and she was 1 half of the real ansh, The rest you said it all😊.
And sorry for being a bit thick, do think they will listen to us, the same people who sent email, in march, if they cared they would have listen then.

The production head lost his brain !! He seems to have made some decisions in trance and hasn't come back to the real world as yet 🤪
