How have you all been??

It was a rainy afternoon, last year, when Ruby and I thought to create a place on this forum, where we could write about, discuss, analyze our favorite program on Indian Telly. A place where people could speak their minds without inhibitions. A place to discuss, even to criticize, to analyze, but above all a place to love our beloved show.

While the initial idea was to talk about creative angles, the episode analysis, the character analysis as we saw them day after day... Director's Cut was launched in mid-July, 2012.

DC, as it's popularly called, grew to be a platform for fun activities, a place where everyone came with an opinion and discussed their point of views ! Everyone was welcome with an open mind, open arms... and a broad smile ! Ideas met and opinions were discussed, but never was anyone, personally offended. In a forum where emotions run high, hearts burn and egos get hurt, the biggest achievement of DC has been the love it spread.

A lot many threads closed down, much before the show ended... people gave up on IPK way before it actually ended... but DC stayed till the very end... our only regret, why didn't we start it earlier !

Today, it's been a year, almost to date, when DC was launched on this Forum... And on the First Anniversary of DC, even the "Stars" are with us and they are re-launching IPK again to make our "Life OK" !

So how could we, at DC, miss the Superb Birthday Gift given to us...

Without further ado, We bring you back The Director's Cut !

Not to forget our Indian audience, who unfortunately will not be able to see the episodes on TV... why fear, when DC is here ! As per tradition, we'll be posting the links of the Episode of the day as seen on TV !

And thus the story began... of falling in love, of Dhak Dhaks, of the millions catch and falls, of Mohabbat and Nafrat... of Dard e Ishq, of laughter, of betrayal, of tears and of joys... but above all... the story of Rabba Veys...

Iss Pyaar Ko Kyaa Naam Doon?

So here we are again, back to the beginning, back to the where it all started.

The magic.

The passion.

The strong, silent, dark, brooding man.

The seemingly fragile, talkative, fair, happy woman.

The thread that pulled them together.

And brought about a junoon in all of us - that translated to Iss Pyaar ko Kya Naam Doon?

And it happened right on DC's birthday.

So we at DC are super-pleased at the Channel Gods who picked this date for this experiment. A dubbed re-run of a popular show. I don't care what their experiment is all about.

All I care about is the sense of being back in the fold of something that held us all in thrall for two years and brought us all back together again. It says much for the strength of the bonds it created, the girls of DC are back on the very first day it aired as a rerun.

We never got a chance to review the story from episode 1. And now - knowing what we do and where the story will go, this should be a fun time to write the analysis.

The first time and every time since that I have seen episode 1 - what strikes me is the way they have chosen to show Khushi's entry and the way they chosen to show Arnav's entry.

Khushi is revealed - step by step - her eyes, her lips and her whole self.

Arnav is revealed all together, stepping out larger than life out of a helicopter, completely establishing his role.

Not for a moment is the viewer left in doubt as to who the protagonists of the story are. She sneaks up on him. Little by little. While he waits with his eyes closed - until she falls into his arms.

And that's it.

At that moment Arnav Singh Raizada is doomed to a fate beyond his control and there begins his epic battle - with himself.

I can't wait to see it all over again, with my friends here and talk about it..

Now lemme go and drool.

Its already aired in Asia pacific region

Just watched the English versiion all i would say it its dubbed professionally and i loved it

please all who see it see it with open mind

has any one ever seen friends dubbed in hindi or watched english movies dubbed in hindi same way

its nice i love it don't bash the efforts of the channel appreciate it i was not alone my kids who dont understand hindi at all watched it for straight 30 mins and not once did they say what was that
