I see a very very Kumud with Saras ( cant blame her) n he will b hurt thinking that she didn't wait much n tied the knot with another man. But the lovers will eventually know the truth n they will regret big time!!

I usually don't comment on the forum, but yesterday's episode compelled me to write something! Jennifer was utterly fabulous in depicting the shock, grief and anger of a woman who has been abandoned on the altar by the man she loves. Absolutely class act!👏

I can see where the sympathy for Saras comes from...most of the audience is comprised of women and they probably feel very sorry for the motherless boy who cannot deal with the demons of his past. I honestly don't see the character in that way. Everyone has something in their past to deal with...you don't go about ruining other people's lives to combat our own sorrows.

Saras is doing exactly that. In the first instance, when he refused to marry Kumud, what he did was in someway morally correct...he knew his life was messed up and that he wouldn't be able to fulfill a relationship like a marriage and that is why he refused to marry Kumud. Bravo! He actually saved her life from being ruined. But now, the circumstances are completely different! He not only proposed marriage to her in front of both their families, they actually had an affair...he slept with her, he promised to marry her...and now just a day before the wedding, he is dumping her, without any thought about how she was going to cope with everything.😕

And what is worse is that, he is doing it in such a cowardly manner...breaking up his wedding with Kumud over the phone...instead of being man enough to confront her family and tell them directly.

Does he respect his love and relationship with Kumud so little, that he thinks telling her that its all over the phone will suffice? And this when, Kumud clearly tells him that she is ready to wait till whatever is going on in his life gets over...he still prefers to dump her, without giving any valid explanation!

Why Kumud? Any woman in her place would be livid with a man like that! And would most definitely not forgive him.

The fact that she would be forced into an unwanted marriage because of what Saras did and that marriage would turn out to be bad, will probably contribute more to her bitterness and anger.

Kumud is not like Saras...she is expressive, where he is reserved, she is outspoken, where he is measured, she is emotionally volatile, where he is emotionally cold. Her anger will be very upfront and all over the place...when she confronts Saras...else, I think she will be withdrawn and heartbroken, especially when she gets married to someone else.

He gave her no reason to wait, and every reason to lose hope. He didnt talk to VC, he didnt go to Ratnagiri, he just dumped her over the phone.

Most importantly he did not explain what exactly had happened at the Vyas' house in Dubai, he just roared at her when she called him "SaraswatiChandra Vyas"... leaving her to imagine what exactly? That he's lost his sanity for the moment? Which is what has actually happened to him. I dont think that possibility registered with Kumud because she has received such a tremendous shock herself! She would perhaps(?) take the refusal at face value not knowing what else to think. Nothing has been made clear to her. Why then would she wait?

At least if Sunny spoke to her to convey the state Saras is in, she may have understood that he was not in the right place to have made the decision . But this is the stuff of fiction, and sometimes the most plausible things dont come to pass! Saras does not even know where he left his phone, so it's possible Gooman has got it, and may deliver even more discrediting "information" if the Desais try to call Saras??

Because he may hide behind his old mask, he won't b able to bear it that Kumud has "moved on" so easily even he will console himself that he is happy for her n that he did not really deserve her. But his heart will b saying another story which his mind will refuse to acknowledge!!

Loved your comment!! There is no justification for this act of Saras .. absolutely none!! neither here nor in the book.. this was the one mistake that started the chain of tragic events.. I remember his dialogue from previous night where he says '' mujhe kisike sahare ki zarurat nahi hai ''( I don't need anyone's support ),perhaps influenced by his father's accusation of him being a handicapped.. the first thought that struck my mind when he said that was hello!!! for a change it not might be you but her who needs the support.. she did her bit and much more in supporting him when he needed her.. now its his turn..For once, look past your own misery and think about the girl .. You are absolutely right..the first time his rejection did make sense..this time none! Escapism is the word.. tragedies do happen.. one living example right infront of him is his own friend Sunny, who lost both his parents in his childhood.. By no means, I am trying to belittle his grief but this time its not just about him and his sorrow.. its someone else's responsibility, a lifetime commitment , a girl's and family's honor at stake.. how can you overlook all that in your own self pity.. very very disappointed in Saras..
