"Are you sure, Jiji?" Megha's voice was shaking. Her eyes were both raging in anger and worrying in tears
"Ok Jiji! I will talk to Mohan and we will be there, as early as possible" She looked shattered when she disconnected the phone
She thought of calling Mohan then she paused and settled with sending a text message to him. Later she kept herself busy with the household chores trying to be lost into deep thinking and lost in time as well
"I tried calling you many times" Mohan's voice stopped her work for a while but then she continued without heeding to him
"Look, 10 missed calls!"
"When you know that I am not taking the calls, why try again and again?" She tried to stay calm
"But without talking how will I know the problem?" Mohan was trying to cheer her up
"Even if you know are you going to support me?" She still didn't look at him
"Oh my love! How can you not trust me?" Mohan's playful attempt did not get him any expected response
"Then fine. Let us go now and handle it immediately without any delay" She turned to face him
"Uffooo, Megha! He is not a kid and for heaven's sake don't treat him like one"
"If he is not a kid then better he not behave like one"
"You can't expect to wrap him up in a towel and carry around, Megha"
"If only I can do that!" Megha looked like all she wanted then was to just do that. She looked away again
Mohan walked towards Megha and held her shoulder to turn her around. She looked at him with tear filled eyes which shocked Mohan.
"Megha! What is this?" He hugged her and tried to console her
"So you want me to come and just witness the drama out there, right? Ok I will do that"
"I am just going to scare him and instill some fear in him"
"Do you think he will be scared of you, Mirchi Madam? He is not poor Mohan Bhatnagar!" He smiled
Megha chuckled through her tears still cuddled in his arms. She poked his chest which he enjoyed and did not allow her to free herself away from his hug.
"Do you really want to go, Megha?" He teased her
She sprang away from him suddenly and started packing things quickly. She had packed some homemade snacks for Addu earlier which she threw into the bag in a hurry or anger, Mohan couldn't say
"Poor Piddi! God save him" He murmured before moving away from there
Mohan looked worried for carrying out a war trip to Indore. But when Guru, Nanhi and Rimjhim joined them in the car, it appeared to be a picnic trip to him. And that comforted him a little
*Poo rushed on her i20 behind MM's car, to catch the drama from Indore. Hope she finds a better wall to hide for the eavesdropping there as well 😆*
"Jiji, where is Addu?" Before Megha entered the house she started her enquiry
"Megha, calm down! Come inside and refresh first" Jiji tried her best
"No Jiji! I want to talk to Addu immediately"
"Addu is not here"
"What? Where did he go?"
"College! Where else? Today is not a holiday" Jiji looked her usual cool
"But he got a Warning memo from the college, right?" Megha was confused
Jiji showed her the letter addressed to them from Addu's college Principal
"They have asked the parents to meet the Principal, if necessary!" Megha sat down with her head on palms
"How bad could it be?" She was worried
"Megha, relax! Why do you confuse yourself? Let us call Addu and find out" Mohan sat next to her holding her
"No Mohan! We will go to meet the Principal"
Mohan was not happy about this but he didn't want to upset Megha further with his argument
"Yes Sir" Mohan and Megha turned around to find Addu entering the Principal's office. Addu was shocked to find them there
"Aditya, it's good that your parents have volunteered to meet me, before I could take any further action" The Principal looked very proud of himself as if he had achieved something
"But Sir, we already discussed this. I haven't done anything" Addu gave an angry look at Megha and Mohan
Megha stared at him back angrily while Mohan was trying to find some clues out of Addu's expressions. He found only irritation and anger but no guilt
"They have found cricket bats and stumps at the spot where the fight happened" Megha didn't mean to shout but she couldn't control her disappointment which burst out as anger. Mohan tried his best to play his role quietly as she expected him to do so
"Mummy, I am not the only one who plays cricket in this campus! Please don't assume things without knowing anything"
"I know now. Your Principal had just updated us with the story" Megha accused him
"Don't you want to ask me or believe me?" Addu said in his defense
"I don't want to listen to any of your stories" The moment Megha let out those words she regretted for it. She couldn't get those spoken words back. Mohan shook his head in disbelief for what Megha said. He held her hands trying to calm her down. She then turned to talk to the Principal
"We are sorry on behalf of him, Sir! Please tell us what the action you are planning to take next?"
Addu's face instantly changed into disappointment and it appeared as if he was about to cry but he didn't. He took his steps towards the door when he heard Mohan
"Shall I say something?" Addu stopped to look at Mohan
"Sir, do you have any proof that Addu was there when this happened?" Mohan asked the Principal
"No! The junior boys were badly hurt that they were unable to pinpoint and tell who and who were there. But they identified a few and those boys accepted it"
"Did they identify Addu I mean Aditya?" Mohan looked a little comfortable probing further
"Not specifically! But his friends were involved"
"That doesn't mean Aditya is involved too! He says that he was not there"
"He may be lying" Principal's irresponsible answer irritated both Mohan and Addu
"No he is not! If anything Addu is but he doesn't lie about these things. I believe him"
Addu was proud and happy to hear those words after so much of insult he had undergone so far. A sigh of content passed through him. He looked at everyone proudly knowing someone is there to support and believe him
"Did you check with the other guys about Aditya's presence, who accepted their action?" Mohan kept on asking questions to which the Principal did not have any positive responses to prove Addu's mistake
"Ok I will investigate further before taking any actions on Aditya. Thanks for your co-operation" The Principal closed his stand
When Mohan and Megha walked out of Principal's room, Addu was very quiet. Though he looked upset with Megha, the satisfaction for the final result was obvious on his face. He gave a thankful look at Mohan which Mohan acknowledged proudly
"I should have believed you, instead of a stranger. I am sorry, Addu" Megha touched Addu's shoulders which he swiftly pushed aside and walked towards his bike at the parking lot. Mohan held her consolingly and said
"He will be fine, Megha"
"Thanks Mohan"
They both shared a look of understanding for each other's stand on the situation
"And I am sorry that I didn't obey your order, Mirchi Madam" He winked at her
"Thanks for not obeying Mr. Musibat! Actually, you are my problem solver but the name suits you well" Megha winked back which surprised him. He held his chest and pretended to faint
When Mohan and Megha entered Vyass' house at Juna Mohalla, it appeared to be in a festival mood. Nanhi and Rimjhim were celebrating Addu's moment of small victory. They had cooked a special snack, all by themselves and were serving everyone. Addu was happy and enjoying the snacks which Guru was feeding him
"Is that a celebration or punishment?" Mohan walked in making fun of the girls
"Spiderman"
"Paapu" Both said in chorus and kicked their legs on the floor
"I am so full and can't eat anything" Mohan tried his luck to stay away Nanhi and Rimjhim glared at each other and winked and jumped at Mohan filling his mouth with handful of snacks from their bowls. Mohan was almost poppoing out his eyes tasting the spicy stuff inside his mouth! 😆
