Megha holds on to Jiji and cries her heart out. Renu is standing near them and tells Aarti, "I don't like that Bhatnagar, but I know he is not so bad to kidnap a child."
Megha listens, stops crying and looks at Renu. Renu places her hand on Megha's shoulder and asks, "Don't you believe the same?"
Megha suddenly decides what to do and wipes her tears. She tells Jiji and Renu, "I know what to do now! You go inside. I need to go somewhere." Tanu offers to follow her but she leaves alone.
Police Station:
Megha walks up the stairs with strong resolve, "Mohan, you are not alone this time."
She enters the station and goes to the inspector who arrested Mohan, "Can I see Mohan Bhatnagar?" He points out to a cell where Mohan is standing behind the bars.
Megha goes to him and holds his hand. She nods her head as if to assure him that she is with him. She says, "We didn't expect this, but it happened. Nevertheless, I don't blame you for any of it. In fact, I blame myself. If only I had supported you 12 years back, maybe we would have our Addu with us now. What I couldn't do then, I will do now. I want to fulfill my duty of your wife. I don't care what these people are saying. I know who you are and that's enough. I will stand by you in this typhoon. Please don't lose hope."
Mohan is listening to all this silently. Suddenly, they hear someone shouting, "Here are the bail papers. Release Mohan Bhatnagar right now!"
Megha turns around to find Anupama throwing bail papers on the inspector's desk.
Mohan tells Megha, "She is owner of Awaaz India. I called her to complete some formalities. Don't worry. I'll be home for dinner. And this time I will have whatever you prepare for me."
He smiles and reassures Megha, "Trust me. I will be fine. You go home now. Also take Rimjhim with you on the way. She would be worrying why I didn't go home last night." Megha refuses to budge. Mohan again asks Megha to leave and she says, "I will wait for you".
Megha thanks Anupama on the way out. When she is descending on the stairs, she spots Addu. Her eyes fire up seeing him and she goes to him.
She questions him, "What did Mohan do to you? Who the hell are you to accuse him of such a disgusting act? How could you even think of him like that? Do you know what he sacrificed for his son? I will tell you. He sacrificed his happiness for the past 12 years just to find his son. He sacrificed his life, his career, and lived under the taunts of his wife and daughter. He got punished for what he didn't do, and even today he is accused of wrong doings. He tried to give you my family. He gave you the place of our son, a brother to my daughter, and this is what you give us in return? I don't know who you are, and I don't even care. Go and do whatever you want to! The day you realize his kindness, you will regret your doings."
She leaves from there in disgust. She sits in the auto, and gives an address to the driver. Drowning in multitude of emotions, she reminds herself that this is not the time to cry. The auto stops outside Maltiji's house. She pays the driver and walks inside.
Maltiji's house:
She finds Munna, still unconscious, resting his head in his grandmother's lap. She knocks on the door.
Maltiji looks up and anger flows on her face. She shouts at Megha, "What are you doing here? Wasn't what you husband did enough?"
Megha says, "I understand your feelings now. Believe me, I am worried for Munna. Be it for short time but I believed him to be my son. I wanted to make sure he is fine."
Addu comes there and see Megha talking to Maltiji through the window.
Megha says, "I am also here for some answers. You said you accused Mohan because the guy who lived with you as Munna told you so. Today I will tell you another story; will you believe it as well? Though I am not Munna's mother, I could sense he is not my son. Did you sense anything like that before? Did you really get to know that he is not your Munna only when he told you so?"
Maltiji is stumped, but cooled down, and says, "At the start, I was doubtful of Munna. He used to call me Amma but when he returned after 12 years, he called me Dadi. But that was because he was not my Munna at all."
Megha tries to say something, just then Munna enters, "Dadi, don't listen to this lady. She is also like her husband trying to brainwash you. Now she may say Jigri is not your Munna and take him away from you."
Megha, in anger, turns towards Munna, "I am not shameless like you to create misunderstandings and tell lies for selfish reasons."
Munna gets angry and says, "You will regret your words when you know who I am."
Megha doesn't care and continues, "Why should I even know who you are? Yes, at a point in time, I saw my son in you. There was even a moment when I wished you were my son, Addu. But now after seeing your two-faced act, I don't even want to know you. Yes, I do have regrets: I regret that I thought of you as my Addu. My son would never be as selfish and cunning as you."
Addu gets angry and holds Megha by her shoulders. Munna wakes up to see Megha there and becomes happy for a moment.
Just when he is about to call out to her, he spots Addu and gets agitated. He catches hold of a nearby vase and hurls it towards Addu calling out, "ADDU!! ADDU!! ADDU!!"
Megha and Malti surprised, look at Munna. Megha runs towards Munna but Dadi stops her. Dadi tries to control Munna, but he doesn't stop. He hurls things at Addu, "Amma, Addu!"
He points towards Addu and looks at Megha as if to tell her, he is Addu.
Megha looks at Addu and asks, "What is he saying?" Addu carelessly replies, "He is mad. I don't know what he is talking."
Megha nods her head in a 'No' and says, "He is perfectly fine. Who are you?"
Addu tries to leave from there with his head down.
Megha thinks to herslf, "Is he my Addu? Did I find my Addu?" She is elated thinking about how Mohan had involved Addu in the wedding as Nanhi's brother. The next instant she remembers what happened that morning, Mohan's silence and his arrest. She remembers he conversation with Mohan on the way to Jhansi.
She sees Addu trying to leave and calls out, "Addu." Addu stops in his tracks and turns around to face Megha. He has an evil smile on his face.
Addu says, "Regretting…"
Before he could complete, Megha gives him a tight slap on his cheek.
