i think Vidya is in a secure position .what is considered bane for other are boon for her .Her not being conventional BW heroine in terms of her physicality and body of work have always worked in her favor .She has the luxury of working in movies without bothering about her weight or fashion sense .aam junta doesnt bothers about it anyways like i witnessed while watching Ghaanchakkar , Its only some online forums and fashion police who constantly worry about that .How many actresses today have that freedom . will audience like kat kareena or deeps if they are like Vidya in terms of physicality thats a Big Q

If one has star power -- that is, the ability to connect with the audiences -- then hits or flops won't effect his/her career at all. Kareena, Aishwariya, even Priyanka don't really have a great track record of hits and yet they are very much household names and popular amongst massses. On the contrary, Prachi Desai has got a few super hits to her name (Bol Bachchan, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, etc) and yet how many would recognize her exactly? You need to connect with the audiences, period. If you can do that, you will be above the hits-and-flops game.
