You are entitled to your opinion but am just giving a reality byte here. Burying people alive/dead in coffins, grounds, walls is an oft used technique by killers worldwide - just so that the victim is never found and even when found, by that time , it has turned into a cold case. So many crime thrillers - CSI, CID, and many others have dramatized these cases.
In case, Gullu and team is shifting the Mangalpur soil grave to a wall , there is nothing OTT, filmy or unrealistic about it. If Tanveer is to bury Zoe alive in a wall and family (Asad) is to hunt for Zoe, Tanveer is not doing anything new and the inspiration does not come from Mughal-E-Azam. Burying victims alive or after the act of killing is a normal criminal trend. At least 60% cold cases in the world have to do with discovery of skeletons in basements , dug up floors, lawns or crumbling walls. Anyone who follows crime fiction here or reads real life crime will know what am talking about.
I do not want to give examples of such real life crimes here to support a soap track. It will be insensitive and rather crude. But am sure google can help all those who perhaps never heard of a person being buried in a wall cavity.
You dislike this tool and track. Accepted. But to say its unrealistic and OTT. Maybe you should read crime news more often.
