Guyz this isnt a bashing post...or a rant..its just smthing tht keeps on irritating me whenever i watch indian content..whether it be indian movies/shows on television...and that is wht they consider to be

"FAMILY CONTENT"

Like in QH for example...they showed asad getting sexually assaulted by his childhood BF in such a vulgar manner...then wht they showed yesterday 🤢 with billi getting turned on by watching the always innocent asad change...(THAT WAS SUCH AN UNNCESSARY SCENE BTW..THERE WAS NOOO NEED OF IT...instead of tht they cudve shown more of wht zoya was going through...how she was living...they showed her for 15 seconds tht to NOTHING new..for the past 2 episodes...kabhi hv had NO DIALOGUES...and it annoys me..i wanna know their thought process...wht theyre feeling..their anger...their pain..through monologues..i cant seem to understand whts going on through their heads/hearts apart frm the fact tht they r dying for each other and r loosing their sanity...is asad pissed @ bili?? has zoya thought abt wht happened? does asad still hate himself? like wht is going on?)

so my basic point here is...in ALL indian TV shows..whenever they hv to show smthing cheap/vulgar like...smbdy seducing smbdy...(even if the 2 r married)...rape...prostitutes...they use such NASTY vulgar dialogues and scenes...like tannus humbistar dialogue and stuff...and they hv no issues showing it..even though they say its a "family show" when really u cant watch it with ur family...

but then when audience/fans demand smthing hot/intense btw the lead couple...like a kiss...they call it vulgar/indecent and go around saying "its a family show" like double standards much???

and in indian movies its the same...they can be racist...sexist..homophobic...hv the cheapest/cheapest indirect vulgar jokes...hv the most vulgar dances..."chikni chameli"

"dreamum wakeupum"...which kids and families watch in theatres...but smthing like "smoking"..."kissing" is all considered vulgar and disgusting??

DOES THIS not annoy anybody but me??? These things irk me abt indian shows...and yesterdays jaanu scene just PISSED me off...and this is the first thing tht came to my mind...they show all this vulgar/cheap DISGUSTING stuff happen btw these too...the way she said "mashallah" and then "humme chupke nahin dekhna parega"..they zoomed in onto his muscles flexing...i was counting seconds till they possibly showed her moaning...it was sooo DISGUSTING...and unncessary...yet they dnt hv issues with this being inn a "family show" as if the rape wasnt enough...

and this totally dsnt relate here...but honestly once again if there is any truth in the articles of billi even claiming to be pregnant to get asad married to her...i will be very hurt...just due to the fact..tht even though they unknowingly (probably) showed a rape...and ppl hv been upset abt it and hv complained...they still rnt dealing with it properly...i mean i understand till the truth dsnt cm out they cant show asad traumatized...(cuz he dsnt remember) or dealing with the after effects...but even showing him guilty and wanting to marry tannu wud be wrong and i think shud be ignored alll together...again bcuz its a very SENSITIVE social issue and shud not be played with for the sake of drama/trps even for a lil while...

Omg dude! I agree! You made amazing points! 👏 Really, I don't understand half the things they make her portray! It seems so wrong for her to be eavesdropping on the man all the damn time, I mean he has a moment with his sister and she's there staring them down! Like really , its disgusting the way she looks at him and thats ok? because shes an antagonist? not really. I loved the double standard comment, so true yaar! 👍🏼

Agree with you completely.

That is a major problem with Indian TV shows...

for that matter even the extent of violence being shown in this show is too much for family audience..

I agree that there was no need for the Billi lusting scene - enough motives have already been established for her wanting to marry Asad i.e wanting a baby daddy, money, prestige. I too would have preferred AsYa monologues. Seems to me that it is more important to know what is going on in their minds than Tanveer's.

I often wonder if they do these unnecessary Tanveer scenes and monologues simply to piss off the audience more since they know we hate Tanveer so much.

You are also spot on about the double standards. It's a scandal to show intimate scenes between the lead pair, but okay to show inappropriate behaviour between one of the leads and villian. I've seen this happen in other Indian serials. It's as if it would damage the sensibilites of the viewing audience to show more than hand holding between the leads or take away from the purity of the couple. Absolute nonsense.

Another problem I have is that all the action now is driven by the villians. The leads and other characters merely react. They've been stripped of their brains. I would like to see the lead characters be more proactive and make the villians react for a change. Mix it up a bit.
