The mythological Radha , d most important Gopi, is regarded as an incarnation of Godess Lakshmi. She is 1 of d Gopis Krishna plays with as a young boy. In Vaishnavism Radha is d friend n advisor of Krishna. She is considered to b his original Shakti. Her connection to Krishna is of - svakiya as well as parakiya rassaa ( that is of married as well as eternal mental Love ). The love between Radha n Krishna is d symbol of d feeling of being united - of d unconditional aspect of love n acceptance.

Meera / Meerabai ( 1498 - 1557 AD ) was a DEVOTEE of Lord Krishna from Rajasthan . She composed poems in praise of Krishna. As a child Meera became deeply enamored by a Murti of Giridhar Gopal, Lord Krishna, owned by a holy man; she was inconsolable until she possessed it and kept it all her life. (Some myths say that Meera saw a wedding procession of a bride-groom and asked her mother about her husband, then her mother took her in front of the deity Lord Krishna and told her that He was her husband.) Then she was around seven years old. She was highly influenced by her father as he was a worshiper of Krishna.

Both Radha n Meera were married to someone other than Krishna.

Radha , who was older to Krishna, was supposed to b her Maami in relation.
