YOU REALISE HOW EFFING EXCITED I AM WITH MY EXTENDED USE OF BLOCKS LETTERS?

Lord of the Flies is one of my all time favorite books, though I too agree with Arnav's point of view. But this kind of sexism was quite prevalent in the literature produced at the time...some intentional and some just... a mirror to the basic attitude in society. God I miss my Lit classes. Hope to relive them through this story... I LOVE YOU DAMMIT!

Arnav is a Lit student who uses Latin in everyday language and has an opinion on Golding AND criticizes sexism ? HE IS MINE. BAS! 😳

Totally kicked about this one, Rosie. Bring. It. On!

PS - I am unable to see KKHH parallels simply because I am busy reminiscing my college days...

The story we have been discussing (only the title that too) for only like the past 1.5months. Is finally here...J you pheel me yaara?

And I dont even know what to say..except MY PHEELZ!

So I know I am already going to love this AU at St Zee, what with a sarcasm se bhara hua professor, the liberal "mindset", the open debates and scenic locations. Also M get the Asli pheelz ya.

As usual there is going to be a long list of books, that I will have to read along with this story (almost feel like I am retaking english lit class!) and even a longer list of things I will need to google. But thats where all the fun lies, and why I like to read stories by you!

Now to the utopia-dystopia thing! What is with universities and obsessions with those two words. First day of architecture they asked us to make a model out of three sheets of paper based on either utopia or dystopia. Then the next day I quit. Now I have much better understanding of the topic, but clearly not in a english lit discourse. So this was TOTALLY interesting, if this is just a glimpse of what we are going to get for the Upcuming 69 chapters, HOLYSHIZZLE I cannot freaking wait (updex soon asap tfs). Oh and like Khushi I totally have to look up those words too..S why can't u have a "translations for luna" section down the bottom?

Now to the characters. I already love them, ya ASR too. They are interesting and hipster enough for me. Whats more the physical fights are now going to be on a level playing field, one that might actually be more tilted towards K. Oh how I waited to see this day!

The bonus be the bestest part! I wonder if ASR will also have a diary...but that would be so unlike him, unless ofcourse he is also a budding poet ya..and den lord byron style poetry notebook dun?

Ok so you are going to hate me for saying this but

And Arnav Singh Raizada and Khushi Kumari Gupta's fights were legendary.

totally gave me a "rahul vs anjali" kuch kuch hota hai flashback. You can take the acting out of SRK, but you can't take the SRK out of my bachpan SKDs.

I look forward to every single chapter of this story. And I demand 15th RES hamesha, along with regular updates. If not you know we will be at your back..24*7!

Time just got away from me 😔

I still remember the first time I read the name and description of this story on your newly-formed index . It made me very , very curious, and I kept thinking about when you would post this and DAN pestering dun. 😆

And now that I've read the prologue , I'm more curious than ever!

There's just something about it that catches your attention right at the outset, and never lets go. You make me feel as if I'm right there, caught in the middle of the academic equivalent of a brawl!

I like the way you introduce us to the college, St.Zee and Prof. Sharma both sound very interesting!

And DAN, you give us Lord of the Flies. (😆 Sorry, I just recalled our conversation from this morning)

I just loved the way you structured their argument, both sides of it really. It offered us an insight into who they really are,and what makes them tick. (Or ticks them off, actually )

And then you go in and make them play water-fights! Poor Prof.Sharma probably wishes that he had never set eyes on them!

But my absolute favorite part was the diary entry.

There's a simplicity and honesty there that I adore, and I do hope that these entries will make their way into most updates.

All in all, I am intrigued and eager to know more about their lives, and what has brought them to this point.

A fabulous update, and once again, you've managed to make quite the impact in just a few words.

Now update the next part soon, I can't wait to see how it all begins!

P.S: Note to self: Take lessons in economical, yet effective writing from Semanti.

Note to self #2: Try to unres sooner, if possible beat Luna while you're at it.

Oh how you write, Semanti...there is such pleasure in just losing myself in the depth of words you use and the opinions behind them. I agree with Khushi, I agree with Arnav – hell I think I have been one of them at some point – only not as smart!

Poor Professor Sharma...I pity him but then it is these students who make it interesting in school, yes?. But to be caught in the legendary crossfire and heck..i am intrigued to see if this will the journey of a year she still has left or if it will be longer - the journey of a lifetime? Or is that the same thing?

I am a sucker for intelligent stories set in that age group and this definitely is one of those, eh?

PS: Agree with all three points from Khushi's diary entry...Shit!

I love the setting, and I love the way it is written. The prof was hilarious! Arnav has a point, and he speaks in Latin! Main mar jawan!

Poor poor prof ji...pity him really. This year is going to be quite long well atleast till Arnav and khushi decide to put their differences aside and agree to agree on certain matter called 'love' and what can i say they can continue to agree to disagree on all their literary thoughts. 😆

Me no lit student Semanti...but i enjoyed every bit that you wrote. Loved this kickass arnav and kickass khushi and now waiting for detention fightve...

Wonderful start Semanti and i just can't wait dammit. 😃
