Technical error on fire scene

It does not raked such a long time for such saris to get on flames all over.
Actualy i know somebody who died thst wag as such sari was in flames within 2 sec. CC is brave and smart. Showing her holding pallu like that does not go with her profile. She is not the kind of personality who goes blank and scared on such accident

Yeah! In real life, she would be engulfed in flames in nano seconds. As well, I don't think anyone would hold on to a burning garment near their body. She should have yanked off the pallu. That would have been more realistic. But this is reel life, so anything goes! It's just a vehicle for the next step. Which is "suits OK" for Chhan Chhan baby!

umm u r correct..if u watched the SBS segment on this u would know that they took extensive measures to apply a gel on the point from her shoulder to the very bottom corner of the pallu where they alighted the fire to make sure it did not go even an inch above the very edge of the pallu. now imagine can they shoot what u r saying? nope it is not possible without endangering Sanaya's life..that was one constraint for shooting the way they did.

Lol ... I guess to make it more realistic they could not afford to endanger the safety of the actors ... that is much more important! It takes a lot of technical expertise to show a person completely engulfed in flames ... for a daily soap they did the best they could, and they had a real fire, even for that they had to take so many precautions.

Also the reason for her not throwing it away from her body um..watch the episode on the day before where u see her pallu being pinned to her blouse at her shoulder..technically she cannot take the hands off the place where she was holding just above it was burning and actually remove the pin cz she was holding the pallu as far away from her body as physically possible as she couldn't remove it.

final fact. Sanaya was having lose hair. I felt very scared seeing her whipping around that 1st moment when Sanjana shouts and she turns around and her hair go very close to the fire! i think they simply ensured that the fire would not rise up her pallu and asked her to not to throw around the edge with fire any closer to her body than what was shown..

and when ur life is in danger 'blanking out' can happen to anyone..being terrified can incapacitate a person..this is the reason i can give for CC's behavior..

but more than that i believe it was Sanaya staying safe while they shot for it, they cared more about :)

anyway they got the point across..sari is a fire hazard in kitchen and Sanaya stayed safe during the sequence...that is all that matters .

@TM - you're right to a point - but it also depends on the material ... cotton is less flammable ... synthetic sarees would be in flames in an instant, but flames spread less quickly in cotton. Chhanchhan seemed to be wearing a georgette saree which would have caught fire quickly ...

But as Sunara and Serenade said ... it was more important to make sure it was safe for Sanaya ... they had to take a lot of precautions for a two minute sequence for such a small fire as it is ... they couldn't risk making it look more authentic just to make it look 'realistic'. Really not worth it ... Safety comes first. It was effective enough as it is ...

The point was made that loose cloth hanging here and there can be a fire hazard in the kitchen ... as TM has pointed out that you also know someone whose saree caught fire in the kitchen.

The pallu was pinned to her shoulder so she couldn't get rid of it - she was more worried about holding the loose end away from her body as well as away from the rest of the saree so that the flames would not spread ... she couldn't spare a hand to unpin it ... the flames would have spread to the rest of the saree if she dropped the pallu to the floor.

I m not asking that they shx have shown her engulfed in flames. What all I m saying I'd they showed for good few minutes she holding pallu was not right , they shd have shown mdnav being around and taking care of if it fraction of second.
Drama still could have been created even with putting fire out quickly
