Yes Pia is a reptile... or maybe it is insulting to reptiles to call her one... she became andhi with her obsession to be rich, famous... her vanity has destroyed the little amount of any human traces in her.... she is selfish to the core.... mamta in her? is it a joke or what....
from the beginning she has her priorities wrong.... she is so much behind wealth, fame ... has so much vanity in her.... she thinks she is this pretty little thing which no man can resist... she thinks she can achieve name and fame using her pretty little face... (though recently the ugliness inside her has reached such enormous proportions that her face, eyes are looking so much ugly and yuck..)....
in the earlier episodes when she was with Pushkar and picking up fights with him and his family and putting her marraige in trouble... Rano scolded her that did Bani sacrifice her life so that she will spoil her relation his Pushkar... she replied that she knows how to pave the road for her happiness while Bani knows only to suffer.... what does she think of herself... that only her happiness is important, no matter others go to dogs.... it is always about SELF SELF SELF with her....
and when she saw that Bani enjoying her status as "MRS. WALIA" she couldn't just fathom that.... she created delusions for herself that Jai and Bani are not made for each other... they don't love each other.... she was deep down with jealousy... she thinks that she could be a much better "MRS. WALIA" than Bani... Again her vanity and scanty brain couldn't understand the fact that Mrs. Walia is not a mere status symbol and neither Jai is this status providing instrument he is a human afterall... while for Bani Mrs. Walia tag is the least important her relation with Jai, his happiness are the prime important but for this reptile that tag is the utmost important thing in the world...
a slight fanning and support from Jigs was enough to bring out this extreme monstrosity within her... to make her go blind.... to forget that Bani was not just her sister but had been a mother to her.... no amount of Rano's shouting, slapping, could bring out the humanity in her.... her humanity has been buried deep down under layers and layers of vanity, and with her scanty brains it is difficult to say if it will ever surface again...
And so her punishment is not getting any love from anybody and maybe if she has the status and money she might not even realize that she is not being loved.... what more tragic situation could anyone want
And as for Jai's character is concerned... initially who he saw the deep and beautiful personality of Bani when she took all his suffering but wished the best for him.... If Bani wanted she could have walked out of the marraige and not face his insults.... she stayed on not because of his threats but because she felt that his anger was justified and she willingly offered herself to suffer under him so that it would soothe his pain... Jai could see this and was deeply touched by that and was totally and absolutely in love with her, with her soul...(we could see how he missed Bani after she walked out following the PR raaz...)
Now where is that Jai? he who told that Bani is the most important to him and not a child... is his character seems to be filled with confusion... a small amount of abortion blackmailing by that reptile made him buy necklaces for her and stopped him from throwing her out of the house....
and also what situation he is trapped in... goes and does sin with sil... then immediately the love of his life comes back in his life.... then knows that his sin with his sil gave him a child... that child which is his deep desire.... what kind of tragic situation to be trapped in... what amount of confusion for him to chose between the child and Bani.... why did he never tried to clear the confusion, why did he think that if he hides his sin from his wife everything would be normal... why didn't he realise that the situation was that of an impending volcano.... the destructives have successfully destroyed his character... the graph of his character is so disintegrated... that even for an actor of calibre like RK it becomes difficult to interpret....
Bani: She has the sweetest and beautiful soul of all... she could not stay with jai though she loved him deeply because of the guilt she felt of staying and enjoying a life with her mother's killer.... but her deep love for him made her to go to great lengths to protect him from his kin... but why didn't she realize that a great amount of sacrifice also needs a great amount of reason... why did she not realize that JW would be better off knowing the truth about Jigs and be sad that his own sister is scheming against him rather than not knowing it and be temporarily happy... why did she do that big of a sacrifice.....
I think the story retained its emotional content but the silly happennings, unwanted situations like ONS... made the character graphs of Bani and Jai so confusing and inconsistent.... maybe only Pia's graph has been consistent and evolved consistently from being bad human to a monster of evilness....
