CHAPTER 6 :

The sun submerged in the deep blue sky , as darkness painted each and every corner of the city , the twinkling stars and the lights of the sky scrappers glittered in the sky , as the cars had jammed the roads , every body excited to reach back their home no matter what but after a long day of work one longs for its home , so was uday after all today was the first attempt he was going to make to wind back her heart as he reached or rather raced to his apartment he felt a lump struck in his throat , he felt himself shivering and his face turning red , and his mouth opened and only one word escaped his mouth "beautiful" and so was she looking in a dazzling pink netted sari with white heels and her hair left loose down her shoulder , there was hardly any make up on her face but her forehead admired the vermillion as her collar bone had the magalsutra , she was a divine beauty as his office bag dropped from his hands and he stood there with his mouth wide open , here by his gaze she did feel her blood rushing his eyes made her shook this feeling was not the same she had not fear it was something else , she could not face up and look into those eyes as she felt his steps heading towards her , and so was he , she found no escape but just walked back until she was pinned by him to the wall , his breath was falling on her face as she her heart pounded and she found it so hard to even catch up with her breath finally she felt his touch his index figure ran into her ear putting a small log of hair behind her ear , and said making her shivering

"You tangle my mind , I loose control when you are near you beauty kills me "

She looked up into his eyes , it was sparking with love as she could feel his face coming closer to her , all that was in his mind was her soft pink lips which he wanted to taste so badly he minimized the distance his lips met her but it was not even a second that he was pushed away by her , he looked down into her eyes as she fixed her gaze down on the floor and said

MANYATA:I guess we are getting late so shall we leave

He understood her discomfort but still thanked his stars for the single second when he got so close to her as he holded her hands soflty like he was holding some cotton candy and said with his smirk

UDAY:you are right we are getting late let us go

The very next moment she slowly took her hands away and quietly followed him as they drove away to the beach , it was crowded but as he walked into the other side of the beach and finally they reached their date place she was dumbstruck there was a small dinner table laid as the wave kissed the shore but the main attraction was the sky there was Chinese lanteen floating a scene she had seen this kind only in movie but in reality it was even much more beautiful as the ray of lanteen sparkled her eyes as a smile crept in her mind and she asked in a soft voice

MANYATA:did you do this? For ….me

UDAY:not only this but many more thing wifey and only for you

At some point she felt her heart melting by bits , by his warm smile as they joined in for dinner , they sat down as she toasted with her spoon he noticed it and asked her caringly

UDAY:what is the matter wifey ?

MANYATA:I was wondering what if….. what if we never met I mean then I would not have this bad memory and you did not have to work hard everytime like earlier today also while you while you…umm

UDAY:tried to kiss you

MANYATA:yes umm I pulled myself back I saw the pain in your eyes so I am sorry I fell sorry for you uday but what you want will not be happening I can never fall in love please so ….

UDAY:it is just what you are assuring yourself as I can already feel a part of your heart in me , you know before I met you I was scare yes scare of love , scare to be cared , scare to be loved I did not want somebody to break my heart and believe me it did not as it is only when I met you I fell in love and realized that being scared is a part of love it is fine if you are not in love with me now or even later as till the time I see you , that sweet smile on your face nothing hurt me more than your tears now

The time had paused as their eyes meet , manyata was quite but her eyes spoke a lot her mind had a turmoil she had flashes of all that happened since the time she had met him as he put his hands on her eyes and said

UDAY:we cannot erase the past , we cannot shape the future the only thing we can do feel the presence all we have is our present so why do we not enjoy it

She understood each and every word he spoke as she opened up her eyes to see him standing in the sand with his shoes off and pants folded as he asked her

UDAY:come wifey lest have some water fight what say ? or are you scared of loosing

She stood up with a smirk and said while undoing her heels

MANYATA:guess aunty menuka did not mention about my swimming trophy

UDAY:but it is a splashing game and I am the champion here

He kept praising himself and did not even when a splash of water hit his face he looked down to see a giggling manyata as he attacked her back and the wars of water was started off in no time

All those days watching from the windows
All those years outside looking in
All that time never even knowing
Just how blind I've been
Now I'm here blinking in the starlight
Now I'm here suddenly I see
Standing here it's all so clear

they splashed water at each other and for the first time manveer was so happy they had never experienced such happiness it was an inner joy from their heart

And at last I see the light
And it's like the fog has lifted

All at once everything looks different

They laughed there heart out as let the water attack wetted there body but they really cared less as they were feeling like years had rolled and they were back into the days of the childhood

All those days chasing down a daydream
All those years living in a blur
All that time never truly seeing
Things the way they were
Now she's here shining in the starlight
Now she's here suddenly I know
If she's here it's crystal clear
I'm where I'm meant to go

They chased each other through the sand had their footsteps laughing and their eyes sparkling with joy

And at last I see the light

And it's like the fog has lifted

And at last I see the light

And it's like the sky is new

And finally after a long run they were wet and tried as they sat down on the sand looking up at the deep blue sky which admired the lanterns as there hands unknown to them tangled with each other

And it's warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted
All at once everything is different
Now that I see you
Now that I see you

As she rested her head as uday looked down at her face , it was wet with water drops and the lantern made her face glow as he moved his figure on her face on feeling the presence she tried to shift apart while he smiled and and took his hands off and whispered into her ears

UDAY:I will never claim you unless you are in love with me I will never use my rights on you in a way that will hurt you as I LOVE YOU
