Mallika in trouble for 'obscene' show

MUMBAI: The Santa Cruz police has asked for the footage of Bollywood actor Mallika Sherawat's performance at a five-star hotel in Juhu on New Year's eve, after a social worker complained of obscenity.

The actor was unavailable for comment. Regional additional commissioner Bipin Bihari told TOI that the police would first study the footage and take legal opinion before taking any further action.

Santa Cruz resident and social worker Vinod Jain on Thursday submitted an application to the police, accusing Sherawat of obscenity and vulgarity. Jain has in the past complained against posters of Bollywood films Rog and Zeher saying they were in bad taste.
