My 2 cents on Antakshari - An Update

Hello Friends..

As thr is no new section for Antakshari yet, Im posting it here.. Im not giving a full update of the show, Because Im not sure how to give update for a half hour musical show.. 😕 But let me try giving one for all the musical lovers here 😛

Today The close-up Antakshari which we all know got a new name, a new host, a new set, new singers, new participants, new rounds.. Antakshari has been there for the past 14 years which we all have loved watching.. We have appreciated Annu Kapoor, the music, the director for all these years.. So, lets also see if the new format is equally appreciated..

The close-up antakshari is now Titan Antakshari.. The new host are

Sunil Pal - who is a participant of Great Laughter Challenge and has gained good recognition for his Jokes
• His Co-Anchor is none other than our own Himani.. She is really good as a host.. Way to go Himani.. She sings with the participants, sings the songs un-identified.. Encourages the participants..

But Im really missing Annu Kapoor.. The way he used to concentrate on the songs sung by the participants, the way he used to encourage them to sing, the masti and dance.. I miss all of them...

Now from the host to show.. There are 3 teams - Deewane, Parwane and Mastane which is the only thing similar to the old antakshari and this one.. But the participants are 3 heroines of the popular serial on Zee - they are Bani of Kasamh Se, Saloni of Saat Phere and Vidya of Dulhan. They come along with a partner and the runs are given to them for each round. This show will go on for 13 episodes and atlast the winner will be announced..

The Rounds:

There are totally 3 rounds.. Very short and nice rounds.. As this show is only for half hour its very short.. One thing I liked about the show is as the song is sung, they also display the the movie and singers of the song.. There is also one audience who gets the opportunity to give the score to the participants.. A person among the audience writes a score and drops it in the Umpire.. Umpire is just a basket in form of a mic where they drop the score and this score will be given to the team which wins the last round.

Round 1:

The first round is the usual antakshari.. The host sings the song and gives a letter to the teams and the teams sing a song from that letter..

Scores for this episode:

Bani and team - 200, Saloni and team - 200, Vidhya and team - 100.

Round 2:

The second round is what I loved.. A song is translated to english and given to the participants by the host, the team has to guess and press the buzzer and guess the song..

Scores for this episode:

Vidhya had a partner who is also from the same serial who was very good at this and guessed all the songs... So, only their team got all the points in this round..

Bani and team - 200, Saloni and team - 200, Vidhya and team - 400.

Round 3:

What do I say about this round? It didnt quite appear to me.. Thr is a towel which is dropped on the floor and the 3 heroines run around the towel as the music is played.. And who ever pics it up when the music stops gets the opportunity to guess a song. In this round Saloni gets the chance to guess the song. The score for this is taken from the umpire which has the score card written by the audience. If the song is not guessed, they get half the points in the score card for picking the towel 😕

Well, this is all about the show.. There is very less music in it.. Himani as usual plays a good role in her songs.. Today she sang Beedi jalaile, and few other songs..

There was also our own Bappida in the show as he is the style icon of this week.. he comes speaks few words about the channel and sings yaar bina chain kahaan re..

U can watch the show for fun, jus half hour.. 😊

👏 👏 👏 Gud Update!! well...y there isn't nay ANtakshri sec. yet?
Oh..id nt have zee..but i've atched Antakshri...frm its initial days...Nodoubt..ANNu kapur was da best choice for it!!! da way he used to listen2 each song...and his commentss..really encouraged!!
i thikn..they should made those ppl the hosts' who have atleast some knowledge of music and can carry a famous musical show like this ..welll.!

good update Anu 👏 but i seriously think Antakshri is a total failure it did not interest me at all i could not sit in front of the tv for more than 5 mins. 😕

good update anu...thx as much as i hate Bani and PD for playing her, Saloni is in it soo its a must watch....does anyone know when it airs in canada?
