Asad does not deserve the rape like some people seem to think you are implying (which I fail to understand because you didn't even mention it in your post), but he definitely had the slap and the mistrust from his family coming for him.

That's what he gets for not trusting Zoya on the multiple times she kept saying anything to help him and his family.
Here's the thing, I understand that Tanveer is his childhood friend and blah blah blah, but they hadn't been in contact for a very long time before she came to Bhopal. People change and Asad of all the people should know that very well. Yet, when Zoya brings forward her doubts about her, he does absolutely nothing. I agree that Zoya had no proof, but the least he could have done is to look into the matter because why the hell would Zoya make such an accusation? The whole thing with the fake husband is an example. Asad should have filed a restraining order against Tanveer's husband when he found out about him following her and torturing her. It's what people in real life would do. But no, the writers of the show, for the sake of TRPs, have dumbed down every single character in the show.

Also, anyone from miles could see that Tanveer was flirting heavily with him. On many occasions, she has been touchy-feely with him and he knows very well that Zoya disapproves. Yet he let her button her suit or whatever yesterday from what I heard in yesterday's episode. I have guy friends who have girlfriends and I wouldn't dare touch them the way Tanveer touches him, unless it is to punch them in the arms the way friends do.

This redemption track needs to go on for a long time, because Zoya has suffered endlessly at his hands and it's high time Asad suffers the consequences of his actions.

And now I hear about Asad and Zoya romancing in the desert. These writers seem to know the audience very well. They know that showing a romance scene here and there will appease the audience, which sadly, is the reality of it all.

There are so many interesting tracks that can occur in this show, but the writers chose the least appealing and most predictable track to show.
It's disappointing that Ghafoor gets not even 0.1% of the screen space that Tanveer gets. Oh well, whatever. If that's what the writers want, then they can do whatever they want, but they need to stop advertising the show as "unique" because it clearly isn't.

CAn't u see ur most tehzib wali billo behaving with u...
Can't he ask to show her hubby photos...so he can further make sure..that person does not roam around...
What her husband does etc...
