of course this is for her own safety reasons. if she is attacked it is the attackers fault. true. but i feel a women should take necessary precautions. of course if the women can very well beat up her assaulter to pulp on her own she can wear a bikini in the market for all i care. then she is not at all dependent on society to save her so she can very well say to all criticizers to go to hell.

its not that i don't oppose men who attack women. i strongly hate them. its simple. if a women wears a short skirt its okay for a men to look at her. because she has worn it for that purpose. but she has in no way done anything to him. so he has no right what so ever to touch her.

about people saying that zoya was projected as a girl who wears modern clothes but still covers herself up well i don't know about that. may be its just me but i never thought that it was the case. i mean come on she has lived in new york. surely she must have worn dresses and skirts. she is not an aunty or a girl who has been bought up in india and then shifted to america. she has lived there since her childhood. what do you people think she must have worn on her prom day?

If this were another skirt bashing post, and I was the PH I would have changed Asad Ahmed Khan to Aasim Abhay (the 2 names together, mean fearless protector BTW) Khurana, Zoya to Zia, Dilshad to Devika and Najma to Nagina. They can wear what they want, eat what they want and say what they want. The writers then have the freedom to be creative and entertain us without having to worry about culture or anything else!

i totally agree with you...i too wear skirts...and i like the episode of Qubool hai. in which zoya says.."these are my clothes not character". I agree with her. I too think that one should wear clothes with brains. I am not against of skirts and other western clothes, but one should better take precautions rather than cure.
