The rain poured over the earth making a sound which soothed her ears. She looked out of her window excitedly and back at her father with pleading eyes. A small smile from him and she ran away to the garden. She twirled round, sometime catching the water droplets in her palm and throwing it at no one in particular. She was a jovial person who just wants to have happiness and spread happiness. She ran around the whole garden feeling the flowers and plants that too were enjoying the water droplets as she was. She danced freely as if a bird had been set free from a cage. The world to her looks like the most beautiful thing ever. She put her arms out wide, feeling the rain pouring over her. The smell of the wet mud soothed her, the light wind that caressed her body felt so blissful to her. All she wanted to do was stay like this till the end of the day, stay like this till she is just much contended as she always wanted to be. She looked up at the sky, her eyes glistening with joy, innocence dripping her body. She started to twirl enjoying the weather as she had always done. It's around like half an hour since she had been following the same routine. From inside the house, her mother looked at her beating her forehead as to the girl's antics. She twirled until she let out a sneeze. She looked up at her mother sheepishly who was standing in-front of her with her hands on her hips. Her mother dragged her inside and passing the towel to her she asked her to go and change in a new set of clothes. She obeyed her mother as usual and went away.
"Why are you being like this? Oh, come on she loves it." Spoke Siddique to his wife who was actually angry a bit.
"Shut up! What if she would have caught cold?" Zainab retorted back.
"Well she actually had." Siddique spoke eyeing Zoya who again let out a sneeze.
"Ya allah ye ladki!" zainab spoke as she rushed towards her and make her sit on a place, covered her with a blanket and left for making a cup of coffee.
Zoya pouted and looked with hopeful eyes towards her father but he just shrugged his shoulders indicating he actually can't do anything with it.
Zoya sat on the couch with a blanket covering her and her oh-so-protective mother making a cup of hot coffee for her; just the way she likes.
That was her, Zoya Siddique.

"Damn!" Asad cursed as he saw the rain pouring over the earth. He had to go and visit his sister and now this rain is just making his temper rise. He pressed his fingers on his forehead, rubbing it trying to ease out the pain he was feeling but well that was actually not helping a bit. He shut his eyes tight and took a deep breath.
"Abdul, take the car out!" he shouted for his driver as the poor soul went to do the required work just at a single call of his master.
He went inside the car and told the driver to take him at the same spot. The car sped off leaving a gust of grey smoke behind. He rested his head at the back of his seat as his insides scowled at the sound of rain. His mind yet again went to the disastrous day when he had his sister the way she is now. All he ever wanted wait all he wanted is revenge… revenge for killing his brother, revenge for killing his mother and revenge for how his sister is now at present. The day's events flashed in-front of his eyes as he tried his level best to shoo away those thoughts but they always came in-front of his eyes. A tear trickled down his eyes as he remembered how happy his family was; so jovial, so happy. But just a single moment of him remembering the day brought rage back in his eyes. The car stopped in-front of the hospital as he stepped out while the driver held the umbrella for him. He went inside the hospital and asked for 'Dr. Mehta' the receptionist told him to wait and he left to sit in the waiting area while the driver was off to park the car. The calling of his name brought him out of his thoughts as he left to have a talk with the doctor.
"Ahh, Mr. Khan. It's been a long time. Please sit" Asad faked a smile as he sat on the chair opposite to the doctor's desk.
"So doctor, is there any improvement?" he asked the doctor hoping for a single one at-least.
"Nothing much. She just responds to little things, especially when there is a change in the weather" the doctor told and continued, "You should go and meet her." The doctor advised whilst Asad just nodded meekly and left to meet his sister.
Entering her room she saw her face titled towards the window, eyes closed as usual and no reaction to his presence. He went and sat by her side and caressed her hairs, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead.
"How is my tamatar?" he asked tears spilling out of his eyes; seeing his sister in coma and not responding to anything, not him even.
"Baat nahi karni na. I know. I know I am the worst brother who was not able to save you, ammi and his own little bother" the tears were just flowing down his eyes as he tried speaking to her.
No one in this world would have ever noticed Asad this weak. It was only the hospital staff who actually knew how vulnerable he is when he came with his family over here around 7 months back.
That was him, Asad Ahmed Khan. The person who's world revolves around his sister, the person who want nothing but pure revenge for what had happened with his family.
