While Maan was at the breakfast table, he somehow did not realize Geet was missing. He assumed she must have been in the kitchen or giving instructions to the helpers somewhere in the mansion. He was having an early breakfast that morning since he had meetings scheduled and also because he wanted to get home early so that he could have dinner with his sister.

By the time, the others walked in, Maan was already on his way to office. That rang alarm bells for Dev indicating he must hurry too. He ran around the house trying to get his stuff together and managed to get to office on time- only by skipping breakfast.

"Gosh yeh bro bhi na", exclaimed Kiara.

"Yeh roz roz ka natak hain", said Naintara. "Agar Veerji office chale gaye, to Dev ko pani peene ka time bhi nahi hoga".

"Dus minute pehle utaya karo Dev ko, Naintara", suggested Daadiji.

"Daadiji, dus minute kya main to ek ghante pehle se hi shuru ho jaati hoon. Lekin suntan kaun?", she said, shaking her head irritated.

"Anyways, lets eat. He'll manage", said Daadiji and she was right. Dev always worked but never skipped food for work unlike Maan.

Kiara looked around the dining room and Daadiji asked, "Kya hua?"

"Nahin, I was looking for my bade bhabhi", she said.

"Geet has gone out", said Daadi.

Geet was back after dropping Niharika at her office. Her mind was spinning with various thoughts. She walked in hoping no one would stop and luckily there was no one in the living room to talk to her. She walked straight to her bedroom and closed the door. She did not feel like changing and hence sat on the bed staring into space. She did not realize that her phone had beeped several times, indicating that she had received messages. She did not react. Finally, there was call on the landline when she answered it.

"Geet, kaha ho tum? I've been trying for so long", came Maan's voice.

"Woh main", she was about to say something when he stopped her.

"Geet, Listen I don't have time. I was trying to reach you for a folder that I forgot at home. Please send it with the driver. It's on the tea table in our bedroom", he said.

"Ok", she said.

"Yeah", he said and hung up. She walked to the tea table and picked up the only folder that was there. She ran downstairs to give it to the driver who was already waiting for her at the entrance of the mansion.

She then saw him leave and walked back slowly when Kiara stopped her.

"Aapne breakfast nahi kiya?"

Geet turned back to see Kiara- a slim beautiful girl- who was similar to Dev in her looks. She was dressed in a short skirt and a sleeveless T-shirt.

Geet smiled and said, "Main apni best friend se milne mandir gayi thi aur uske breakfast bhi usi ke saath kiya".

"Oh I see", said Kiara. "Ok carry on. Aap busy lagte hain".

"Nahi Maan had forgotten a folder so I was sending it to him", she said.

"Ok", she said, walking into the living room and Geet followed. "Baitiye", said Kiara, "Maine aapse kabhi baat nahi ki."

Geet smiled yet again and sat down opposite to Kiara. "Haan".

"So Geet bhabhiji, mere bhai kaise lagte hain aapko? Khadoos ya dust dhaanav?", she asked, winking.

Geet's mouth fell open- "Khadoos or dusht dhaanav?Tumhein kaise pata yeh sab?", she asked.

"Ahaan, chori pakdi gayi na?", she said, laughing. "Mujhe pata hain, ki jab aap KC mein work karte the, tuo veerji ko aap inhi naam se bhulaate the"

Geet laughed. "Haan yaar, sab DD as in dhak dhak kehke bulaate the aur main hi thi uss poore office mein jo unhe dust dhanav kehti thi"

"To yeh dust dhanav ab aapke aur sirf aapke dhak dhak hue", said Kiara.

Geet did not say anything.

"Waise bhabhi, chodiye Veerji. Let's talk about you. Ive haven't gotten a chance to know you- so why don't you tell me about your family and home-town?", asked Kiara.

Now talking about home-town and family was something that Geet could never resist. So, she started off instantly. She spoke about her family, including her new-born nephew. She described her trip to HP recently and how much fun it is to be back home. She spoke about how life in her home-town was and how it differed from her city life. Kiara listnened carefully without interrupting or stopping Geet. She wanted to know Geet and there could be no better way than to understand her from her family and her lifestyle back home.

Geet spoke for almost two hours and Kiara, not once looked at the time or looked uninterested. She listened and made note of every word.

"Nice bhabhi. Maine kabhi villages aur uss life ke bare mein itna nahin suna. Looks like your home-town and your family are fun. Hoprfullly sometime donw the lane, aap hume wahan le jayenge", said Kiara.

"Sure", said Geet, "it would be lovely and I will ensure you have the best of the experiences", said Geet, smiling happily.

"Aur aap kya karte hain?", asked Kiara.

"Kya karte hain matlab?", asked Geet.

"No I meant din bhar. Like Daadi goes for kitty parties, takes care of an old age home and orphanage etc and Naintara bhabhi takes care of her dad's business", said Kiara.

"Main aaj kal kuch nahin karti Kiara", said Geet.

"Hmmm, kyun? Aap bhai ke liye ab kaam kyun nahin karte?"

"Pata nahin. Shaadi se pehle maine resign kit hi. Aur phir se kabhi uske bare mein sochi hi nahin", she said.

"To ab sochiye bhabhi. Warna aap sab bhool jayenge", said Kiara. "I'll be joining office from next month and this month is all party time for me", said Kiara.

"That's good", said Geet, thinking Kiara was right. "Why was she just sitting at home and doing nothing?"

"Waise bhabhi, aap sari mein bahut acche lagte ho", said Kiara.

"Thanks!", said Geet, blushing a bit.

"Mujhe kab seekhayenge aap sari pehenna?", she asked.

"Jab tum chaaho", said Geet, smiling and winking.

"Okay done. One of these days you will teach me", she said, yawning.

"Kya hua?", asked Geet.

"jet lag aur kya?", said kiara,. "But if I sleep now- then I wont be able to sleep at night. Daadi aur Naintara bhabhi to bahar gaye hain. Dev bhai ka birthday hain na, parso tuo unke liye kuch lane"

"Oh yes!", said Geet. "What are you gifting him?"

"Watch!", said Kiara, "London se layi hoon. He likes watches a lot".

"Oh good! Mujhe bhi sochni padegi. I guess I'll ask Maan", she said.

"hmmm. Aapko kabhi nahin milegi suggestion phir", said Kiara, laughing.

"Haan woh bhi hain. Lekin I'll try. He always comes up with amazing ideas though he never takes interest in implementing them", said Geet.

"Not bad! Aap DD ko acche se jaanne lage ho", said Kiara. Geet once again remained silent and Kiara smiled.

"Chalo ab, main chalti hoon. Nice talking to you", she said. "I hope I did not hold you up",

"No no not at all. I wanted to talk to you too, but haven't got a chance", said Geet, getting up too. Both of them left for their respective rooms and the evening passed away to quickly before it was time for dinner.

Maan, as he had planned had come home early. He walked into the bedroom and found it dark. The balcony doors were opened and cool breeze blew into the room.

"Geet", he called out, wondering why the room was so dark.

"Ji, main bahar hoon", she replied. Maan walked into the balcony and found her standing in a black sari. Her hair pinned up into a neat bun and a small black bhindi on her forehead.

"why are you standing in the dark?", he asked,

"Just like that", she said. "Aap ab aa rahen hain? Badi jaldi aa gaye", she said.

"Haan, tumhaare bina raha nahin jaata office mein, kya kare?", he said, leaning against the grills of the balcony, folding his hands against his chest.

"Flirt kar rahen hain aap?", she asked, smirking.

"Hmmm, ghalat aurat ke saath", he said.

"What do you mean?", she asked.

"Yahin ki agar yahin lines main kisi aur ladki ko bola hota na, to ab tak mujhe ek kiss aur hug mil hi jaate"

"Yea right. Jaake try kijiye. Aur main uski thaange thod dungi. Saali ki", she said.

"Geet tum to terrorist ho"< said Maan, laughing "Chalo ab, dinner ke liye", he said

"Yea", she said. He smiled and walked in, unbuttoning his shirt.

"Maan", she called him.

"Yes", he said.

"I spoke to Kiara for sometime today", she said.

"Ok", he said.

"Actually after sending your folder- I met her and she started talking", she explained.

"Ok good", he said. "Yiu have never met her- so I guess that was good thing that you two spoke", he said.

"Yeah!", she said, not knowing what to say next.

"She's a nice and a very sensitive girl, Geet", said Maan, removing his shirt and putting into the laundry bag.

"Hmmm", said Geet, hoping Maan would say more. But he dint.

"Hope she had attended your wedding", said Geet.

"My wedding Geet?", he asked, with a smirk on his face.

"I meant my wedding'.." and he looked at her intently, when she fumbled with words and said, "I meant' aah'. Wedding.. as in your's and mine' that is'." And he walked towards her and placed his finger on her lips.

"Our wedding", he said.

"That's what I meant", she said, holding his finger and moving it away from her lips.

He smiled mischievously. "You take tension pretty soon", he said, laughing.

"No, actually I couldn't think of words", she said, trying to explain herself.

"You don't have to think so hard. You just have to speak- speak from the bottom of the heart- speak the truth even if it hurts me- but speak", he said.
