"Hope she had attended your wedding", said Geet.

"My wedding Geet?", he asked, with a smirk on his face.

"I meant my wedding'.." and he looked at her intently, when she fumbled with words and said, "I meant' aah'. Wedding.. as in your's and mine' that is'." And he walked towards her and placed his finger on her lips.

"Our wedding", he said.

"That's what I meant", she said, holding his finger and moving it away from her lips.

He smiled mischievously. "You take tension pretty soon", he said, laughing.

"No, actually I couldn't think of words", she said, trying to explain herself.

"You don't have to think so hard. You just have to speak- speak from the bottom of the heart- speak the truth even if it hurts me- but speak", he said.

She smiled and looked at him surprised. "How can you be so patient and understanding?"

Kiara and Maan were at the poolside after dinner. Maan was having his usual dose of wine and Kiara stuck to a glass of lassi.

"Bhai I spoke to Geet today", she told him, sitting opposite to him.

"She told me", he said, taking a sip of his red wine.

"I suggested that she should start working", she said.

"Working where and what kind of work?", he asked.

"Anything that interests her, prefarrably with you, may be", she said with a lopsided smile. "Did she not tell you that I had suggested that she start work again?"

"No, we haven't gone that far in our conversation about you", he remarked. "But Kiara, I still don't get it. What made you give her that idea?"

"Bhai, I think she needs some kind of activity. If she wants to start thinking about her career again, that would be great. When I say, she needs some activity, it's because she needs to start moving out of those old thoughts and come into the new world she has entered into".

Maan looked at Kiara for a few seconds and put his glass down, "I cant believe I couldn't think of this"

Kiara smiled mischievously, "Oh well, main hoon hi itni smart. Ab kya kare. I always wonder why I've been gifted with such exemplary inteliigence", she boasted off.

"Oh cut it out now", said Maan, laughing.

She laughed too and continued, "Bro, on a serious thought, what do you think?"

"Kiara, she can do what she wants. If she is willing to think of any activity, work, or anything that interests her and keeps her busy, I will support her. Again, It is up to her to decide. I will never force her to do anything", he said.

"Ok then! Since you wont force and she wont open up- I'll have to do something", she said and winked.

"Naughty girl! Stay out of trouble. You know Maan Singh Khurana will not '" and Kiara continued, "I know I know, Maan Singh Khurana will get me into trouble if I get his wife into trouble"

He smiled, shook his head and picked up his glass again.

"I wish I could get someone who will love me as much as you love Geet", she said, staring longingly into space.

"You will get a person who will love you much moch more than I love Geet", he said.

"Impossible", she said.

"Well, Kiara, humans will on hopes and dreams. And Love will always finds its way. So, why not hope you get such a man in your life?", he asked.

"Hmmm, okay if you say so, let's see what's in store", she said, getting up. "How long will you be here? I'm actually sleepy", she said.

"You go! I'll finish this and then go and sleep", he said, pointing to his glass of wine.

"I'll wait till you finish", she said, sitting back on the chair again.

"Darling, don't bother. Go and sleep", he said, relaxing onto the chair.

"No bro I'm fi" and she stopped when she saw Geet, in the balcony upstairs. She smirked and called out to her, "Bhabhi, neeche aayiye, jaldi"

Maan turned to look in the direction Kiara was looking and yelling.

"Kya hua?", asked Geet from the second floor balcony.

"Aap aayiye phir batungi", shouted back Kiara, to make herself heard.

"Gosh, damn your voices", said Maan, "How loud can you women be?"

"As loud as you want us to be", she said, in the same loud voice.

"Kiara I'm not deaf", he said.

"Ah well, okay okay. I forget!", she said, laughing. "Ab main chali, so ne", she said, suddenly getting up again.

"Tum pagal ho kya? Either sit her properly or leave. Don't fidget", he said.

"Bro, I was thinking of waiting till you finish your wine. But I think you would want to go for another round, so I'd better leave", she said.

"What makes you think I'd go for another round?", he asked.

"Geet", and she stopped and waived to her and looked back at him and winked, "Geet bhabhi, in a sexy black sari. Go for another round bro. you don't have a choice", she said, softly , as both of them looked at Geet, slowly walk towards them.

Maan smirked and looked back at his glass. "Ab main chalti hoon", she said, walking towards Geet.

"Hi Bhabhi. Aap bro ko dijiye please. Mujhe bahut neend aa rahin hain", she said, hugging Geet, slightly and walking past her, yelling out, "Bro, good night".

"Good night sweety", he said. Geet came and sat in the same place that Kiara had vacated.

"Aap yahan kya kar rahe ho?", asked Geet, looking around.

"Tennis khel raha tha, pool mein, you know!", he said, pointing to the swimming pool on his left.

Geet laughed, "Stupid question, I know!"

"Ah good. you realized it", he said. "I thought I would have to wait for tomorrow for you to realize".

"Maan" , she said, angrily trying to control her laugh, but couldn't.

Maan looked at her for sometime, looked away, quietly sipped on his red wine.

"Aap roj yahan dinner ke baad bait the ho na?", she asked.

"Yes. Pehle out house mein jaata tha. Lekin ab yahan bait ne ka mann karta hain", he said, leaning bak on the chair and looking up at the sky.

Geet relaxed too in her chair and looked around for some time and then at Maan.

For a few minutes of silence, she finally spoke, "Maan"

"Yes", he said.

"Can I start work again?", she asked.

"Geet, you can do what you want. Tell me what I should do, I'll do it", he said.

"No actually Kiara had given me this thought again. But you know, I'm married to you now and its not like before. I mean, when I was single, I didn't really have to bother about what position I take up and all that. Now, I'm your wife so'." And didn't know what to say further.

"Geet, are you trying to tell me that I might feel ashamed if you take up some mediocre job? Is that what you are driving at?"

"Hmmm", she said.

"No job is big or small. And like I said, you can do anything you want. It doesn't have to be a job. You can go and take care of one of Daadima's charitable organizations as well. What ever interests you, if you are really interested. You don't have to think of this, because Kiara told you", he said, sitting up again and taking another sip of his wine.

"No, I've been thinking of this for some time now.It's just that Kiara's given me the courage to talk to you about this", admitted Geet.

"Kiara should have come to India a little ahead I guess. May be you would then gather the courage to do much more than just talking", he said, with a lopsided smile.

"Yeah!", said Geet, not paying attention to what Maan had meant. She suddenly realized and screamed, "What?"

Maan started laughing. "You look nice when you laugh", said Geet.

"Thank you!", he said. "I know looks and features to die for", he said.

"Yeah right, Mr. Khurana! No wonder your office female staff call you dhak dhak", she roared.

"Hmmm, amongst that female staff only there were also women who called me dusht daanav instead of dhak dhak", he reminded her.

Her mouth fell open. "AApko bhi pata hain?"

"Ofocurse. Tum mujhe dua deti aayi, mujhe kaise nahin pata hoga?"..

"Hmmm", she frowned.

"Anyways, keeping dusht daanav aside, lets talk business now".

Geet looked at him confused. He understood that and immediately said, "GEEt, I meant let's talk something more important. Business means not literally business".

"Oh ok", she said.

"So, think about what you want to do and let me know. We'll accordingly plan it out for you. Talk to Daadima or Naintara if you want- for suggestions and ideas"

"Ok", she said.

"Shall we go in now?", he asked, finishing the last sip of his wine.

"Sure", she said, getting up. Maan stood up too, and took his phone. He turned to walk around when she heard Geet say, "Can I work in a place or job where I have to directly report to you?"

Maan stopped and turned to look at her, "I'm a tough person to work with", he said.

"That's fine! I've worked before", she said.

"There is lot of difference in the working for me then and working for me now", he said.

"When I could work with a stranger then, why cant I work with my husband now?", she asked.

Maan was silent for sometime. "Geet, think about it. Don't rush into things and make decisions in haste".

"My decision is made Mr. Khurana- can I work for you directly? It need not be in KC", she said.

Maan did not say anything. He simply walked away. Geet looked at the retreating figure. She made a sad face.

Maan stopped to look at her and said, "Aisi khadi rahogi tuo CV kaun email karega mujhe?"

Geet's face brightened up at once. She ran towards him and said, "SAch?"

It was around 11:45 pm, when Maan was about to switch off his reading light when his phone beeped.

He took it and read the message and smiled. "So, did she talk about working again?"

"I thought you were asleep", he replied.

"I wasn't sleepy at all. I walked away so that you could get some time with your beautiful wife", texted Kiara.

"Hmmm, thanks!", he replied. "Yes she did"

"Oh cool. I need to pat myself for this", she said.

"She wants to work for me. I dunno why", he texted her.

"That;s even better. When you wanted her to work for you, you fell in love with her. Now, she wants to work for you, so may be its her turn now!"

"What non-sense Kiara", texted Maan, "DO you believe in all such things?"

"Well, I don't. But some time back some one had told that Love finds it's way- I realized its true. No matter what Love will always find its way! So, may be this is the way for Geet. Good night Bro. Love you tons and tons!"
