Hehe I am proud of myself...two in a row...that's what I get for procrastinating. So shreya dared me to write an emotional story . I hope I will be able to reach her expectations. This is based on the song o saiyyan from agneepath. So shreya this is dedicated to you 😃
"Aaahhh Rey..."
"TAANI!!!"
Rey woke up with a jolt. He was sweating profusely and his heart was pounding like a loud and
merciless drum.all of these signs were all pointing to the fact that t was just a dream...a very very bad dream.a dream. How could it be just a dream. It seemed so real. Well it was all real. This was just a repercussion of an incident that occurred many years ago. One that claimed his normal life and turned it into a living hell.
He checked his alarm clock . It was 6 am. That was the sign that his day had started. He got up reluctantly. He needed motivation to get up. Which his life lacked in. His life lacked in many aspects . She took all his joy with her.
He took a shower and went out to hail a cab. he would never drive after that day. He could never trust himself enough. His destination was always common. It was the Same routine daily. But everyday hope would decrease and pain and regret would increase. He got snapped out of his trance by the cab driver.
"Sahib hum pohunch Gaye "
Will he ever reach his destination ?he doubted it. He looked up at the pale looking building. It was the same yet different somehow, was it newly painted . He never thought he would get so familiar with a hospital.
St Joseph hospital. A place he had been coming to for the past 6 years only for taani. He felt his eye moisten as he walked through the corridors of the hospital. The multiple rooms filled patients with who were sick. The terminally ill people. It was not their fault. But what happened to taani was definitely his fault.
He felt his muscles tighten at the mere though of it. He remembered how he refused to believe that taani was in a coma.hell he was still in denial. Her smile still echoes in his heart. Her cute pout is still like writings on a rock for him. He remember every single one of her cute antiques. She didn't deserve this . If anyone did, it was him. He caught sight of Sharon and swayam there. Guilt weighed down on him. He didnt know how to speak to them, he promised swayam that he would take care of taani no matter what on their wedding day but he had become the very reason of her pain. He knew swaym didn't blame him but still he knew he would never forgive himself for this.
He saw Sharon nudging swayam as if to show him that Rey was there. As soon as swayam saw him he went to hug him. Rey hugged him back Limply. He couldn't handle it. There was a silence for some time which Sharon broke.
"So guys, do you have any idea why the doctor called us..."
" no...probably they wanted to run some tests on her..."
Sharon and swayam nodded in agreement .but even as he said so he had a pang of fear that something was wrong with taani., he didnt have to look at them to know that they felt the same.before he could indulge in another trance he saw the doctor approaching him.they all sprinted towards her..
"Dr Gupta ...is something the matter? Why did you call us here?"
She looked at all of the eager faces in front of her.she was most familiar with Rey out of all of them. She could hear his silent prayers under his breath. Sometimes she wondered how someone can love another so much.
" I have some good news for you guys...mrs singhania is responding well to the treatment. We expect her wake up from her coma anytime soon ."
Music starts
Rey's just looked on in shock. It took a while for him to process this. But when he did it was like the world regained its colour. His words had regained meaning. His life regained reason.

He looked at Sharon and swayam who were smiling and hugging each other. He felt his eyes moisten again but this time in joy. His heart felt light after so long. His heartbeats were replaced by the word taani.
Sehme huey sapne mere haule-haule angdaiyaan le rahe
He ran his hand through his hair and smiled like an idiot after a long time
Thehre huey lamhe mere nayi-nayi gehraiyaan le rahe
He laughed like there was no tomorrow. Swayam and Sharon smiled through their tears looking At him.
Zindagi ne pehni hai muskaan
Karne lagi hai itna karam kyun na jaane
He started running towards taani and sprinted towards her ward leaving the doctor pleasantly surprised . She smiled at this display of unconditional love .
Karvat lene lage hai armaan phir bhi hai
Aankh num kyun naa jaane O Saiyyan...
He reached the door and looked at taani through the glass window. She had regained her colour . No more did she look like a patient. His vision was blurred by his own tears.
Odhu teri kaaya
Solah sigaar main saja loon

He slowly turned the handle and entered her ward whilst tip toeing as if she was asleep and would wake up anytime. Of course that wasn't far from the truth . He edged her bed and fingered her skin which was getting warmer and more full of life than before .

He sat next to her and held her hand. He caressed her palm and stared at her beautiful face which hadn't aged a bit.
Mere aasmaan se jo hamesha gumshuda thay
Chaand taare tune garrdishon ki lay badal di
Laut aaye aaj saare...
He could only think of one thing to say. The absolute truth which outshine every other truth .
"I love you taani.."
O Saiyyan...
He placed her palm on his face and closed his eyes as tears made its way out of it. He was taken a back for a while as he felt her fingers move. He got ready as he heard her say something. At first it was a murmur but thne it transformed into something more beautiful.
"I love you too Rey.."
Soon the room was filled with doctors doing various tests but for taani and Rey there were only two people in the room. Only them.
