8 Am bright and early Viren woke up seeing his better half and his son still in deep sleep. He smiled and covered the two with a blanket. He got up and slightly opened the curtains to see it snowing again outside. It all looked so beautiful. It felt like yesterday when Viren and Jeevika had come to New York to get married. Today they stood 5 years later as a family of three. As cute as Jeevika and Zaaine looked sleeping, he wanted to wake them up. He was in a dilemma so decided to give them half an hour before he would wake the two up. Viren took his clothes in and went to shower. As he was about to open the door, there stood Jeevika with her hands on her mouth. She moved Viren aside and went straight to the toilet to puke. Her face was filled with sweat and tears of tiredness coming out her eyes. Viren rubbed her back and she was breathing.
v - "Better now?"
j - "A Little"
v - "I'll go make some green tea for you" he said helping her up.
Jeevika shut the door to freshen up after mentally exhausting herself already. She went back outside to find Viren with two cups of tea. He handed her one and she sat on the bed with Viren drinking it.
v - "Karan just texted me. They're coming here in sometime"
j - "Okay. What are we doing today? Did you guys plan anything?"
v - "Just going around the city unless you're not feeling well"
j - "I'll pop in some meds and I'll be fine" she said trying to make him feel she was okay.
v - "Jeevsss"
j - "Yeah"
v - "Can I get my other gift now" 😛
j - "What gift?" 😆
v - "Jeevs"
j - "Virennn"
v - "Tell me"
j - "Later. Not now"
v - "Not nice"
j - "Ehh its okay"
Before they could argue more they saw Zaaine moving around and now sitting on the bed with his eyes closed.
v - "Goodmorning sleepyhead"
z - "Daaa"
v - "Yesss"
z - "Hungry"
v - "Go brush your teeth fast and I'll give you some cereal?"
z - "Daa you help me?"
v - "You need help brushing your teeth? Are you a little baby?"
z - "Daa me tired"
v - "Why don't you ever ask Jeevika to help you?"
z - "Cause mommy tired"
v - "And me? I'm not tired?"
z - "No, mommy more tired.
v - "Fine lets go" he said picking a smiling Zaaine up and taking him to the bathroom.
Jeevika smiled and got back under the blanket laying down for a bit. Viren quickly helped Zaaine take a bath and by the time they came out they saw Jeevika asleep like a little baby.
z - "Why mommy sleep?"
v - "She's not feeling to well. She threw up this morning"
z - "Again?"
v - "Yeah. Let her sleep and we'll eat something"
Viren was about to put some cereal in a bowl for Zaaine when the two of them hear a knock on their door. Viren knew it must have been Karan so he went to open it. Indeed it was Karan all by himself.
k - "Goodmorning"
v - "How are you" he said hugging his best friend
k - "Fine. What are you guys upto? Ready to go eat breakfast or ate already?"
v - "Well was going to feed Zaaine, Jeevika fell back asleep"
k - "She okay?"
v - "The usual"
k - "How about I take Zaaine with me for some breakfast and you stay here with Jeevika"
v - "Zaaine you want to go?"
z - "Yess daa. Me going put shoes" he said quickly trying to reach his shoes.
k - "Why don't you spend the day with Jeevika today and I'll keep Zaaine"
v - "You sure?"
k - "Hundred percent"
v - "Thanks"
k - "Have fun. Think of this as your anniversary gift from us. One day alone with Jeevika" 😆
v - "Can we make it two days?" he said joking around
k - "Stop pushing it. Zaaine ready to go?"
z - "yesss. Bye daa"
v - "Bye Zaaine. Don't bother anyone"
z - "Okay" he said smiling brightly
Viren was relieved that now he had his Jeevika all to himself. No Zaaine to distract them. Just him and her like old times. He went back into the bed and hugged her from behind and she was sleeping.
j - "Viren"
v - "Yes"
j - "Hug me tighter"
v - "Why" he said laughing
j - "I'm feeling cold" she said smiling with her eyes shut
v - "Okay mam. Whatever you wish" he said getting closer to her "Btw we have the day to ourselves"
j - "What?"
v - "Zaaine is off with Karan and Zoya"
j - "Really?"
v - "Yup. Now you will get your revenge for not spending time with me last night"
j - "Why did you try to sneak out your gift earlier? Are you 5 and can't wait for your gift? Zaaine is more patient than you"
v - "Yes I'm 5. And now I'm waiting for my next one"
j - "You really really want it?"
v - "Yes I really really do"
j - "Fine" she said sitting up with her back faced to Viren.
j - "Move my hair to the side and take my sweatshirt off"
v - "Sweatshirt off? These pregnancy hormones are making you vulgar" 😆 he said doing as she told.
j - "You want it or no" she said facing him
v - "Okay Okay calm down" he said moving around.
Viren did what she said and he was surprised at this sudden move by Jeevika. How in the world did she do this. He could see this beautiful " V " tattoo on her neck that looked a lot like a heart as well.
v - "What in the world? Are you in your senses?"
j - "You like it?"
v - "Its beautiful, but what made you get a tattoo?"
j - "I don't know just felt like getting it"
v - "I didn't know you had any tolerance for pain. Seriously where you drunk when you got this?"
j - "I cannot drink remember"
v - "Oh yeah" 😛 "but wait is it safe to get a tattoo right now?"
j - "Yes it is. I thought you'd be more excited, jeez Viren"
v - "You want to see more excitement?" he said giving her that stare'
That stare made Jeevika have butterflies in her stomach. She knew what was coming and now that Zaaine was gone too' well she was all his!
