Ram Kapur plays the role of Jai Valya in Kasamh Se on Sony television, and recently won the best actor award for his performance. Asked about his most memorable moment of 2006, Kapur replied, "The birth of my daughter."

"After her birth, the learning has just begun. I have started thinking about various things I never thought about. For example I have started planning financially for the future. I already feel responsible for being a father to a daughter. I already worry about her. These are things we don't realize as children but one look at your own offspring and you understand why your parents behave in a certain way."
