Ranbir Kapoor to turn producer?

There is a saying "Jab bhagwaan deta hai to chappad phaad ke deta hai!"… Well, that sure seems to be true in Ranbir Kapoor's case! His recent release Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani was a super duper hit and now we hear that Ranbir is soon to turn producer with a film titled Jagga Jasoos.

Ranbir and director Anurag Basu's new production company, Picture Shuru, will be co- producing the film along with Disney UTV. Ranbir will also be acting in the film.

He have signed a franchise deal with disney. The movie will have sequels too also will have videogames bags etc.

Actors turning producers is usually bad news for audiences. They start focussing on the commercial aspect while their risk taking ability as actors goes for a toss. I guess from now on we will get more Jagga Jasooses and Bunnys rather than Barfis.
