Compared to other serials CC's first day was more real with no over the top drama.

I've watch a couple saas- bahu dramas and in all of the them the first day of the new dulhan in her husband's house is all about not making a mistake and leaving a good impression so the first thing she does is prepare breakfast for her new family but thankfully this wasn't the case in CC cause in reality unless you know your in –laws and the rules of their house you are bound to make mistakes after all you can't expect a person to forget their old habits and ways in less than 24 hours however in order to adjust to your new family and their rules you often need the help and support of your husband but unfortunately Manav has been sent to his village(thanks to UB 😡) that's okay cause in other serials although the Husband is present, he says nothing to defend his wife's mistake and we all know Chhan Chhan is more than capable of taking care of herself and out smarting Uma bhen.😆

in short I would like to thank CV's for adding some reality to this drama.

You have raised a good point. Thank you.

Yes, compared to other saas bahu sagas, this one is really aiming for some realism, though drama is needed to sell the show to TRP audience.

The problem with the TRP audience is that they like the daughter-in-law to be oppressed or to sacrifice her needs and wants for her husbands family whom are often people who don't deserve it. that's what I've seen so far in the shows with high TRPs however I don't find that entertaining at all in fact it's frustrating ...I really don't want Chhan Chhan to be come a mind less Bahu. I'd rather the show have low TRPs than it having high TRPs with everyone blaming CC for everything wrong that happens.

Yes, some of the TRP toppers really don't have good acting or path breaking stories.

Now that we have a good cast, I really hope the writing goes up a notch and the creatives give us interesting tracks and twists.

I'm sure they won't let us down and now that the IPL is over the real story has started we just need to observe some patience.

Well said, naadhira ... nice post!

@ bold ... yes, that gets my goat completely ... if a girl makes the decision herself, it's still acceptable ... but it annoys me tremendously as to why should she be expected to sacrifice her own individuality and her desires for her husband's family and their so-called values and traditions. It's very frustrating to watch ... and even more frustrating to have that extolled as a virtue. I hope Chhanchhan goes against this trend ... I will give a damn for TRPs in that case ... if she does maintain her own individuality and self-respect, and even more importantly, that of her parents and her maayka ... that for me will be totally worth watching and I would LOVE to see such a thing!!!

Regarding TRP audience ... ever since I came to know that TRP audience consists of just over 9000 households out of a TV audience of over 140 million, I have an even greater skepticism for the relevance of TRP data.
