Meanwhile, extra wet week ends once again. But even after a week, still enjoying...monsoon drives, cool weather and this awesome magic of the nature, despite unavoidable, attending jams and atypical chaos of Monsoon Mumbai. Such a bang entry of the Season this year- already over 700 mm( +25 inches) in first 10 days. Good.
Do we expect some rain scenes? Though actors must be hating damp retakes. More scenes indoor perhaps. Haweli, their trump card. Come to think of it, RN Haweli is going to stay centre stage. So 'other' family must have been located in RN only. No Suvarnapuri, I think...
Hgg, you lost your 'de-addiction' chance. Good to see you back. Good points. Agree about actual separation. For our continuous search, all ploys are coming to naught. I think they are going to milk pre-separation romance. In a way, don't mind it either. For 'night' is going to be long indeed. Let them show these two 'indispensable' in the end more so for it.šŸ˜†

So, then we can look forward to a wedding, and lots of romance. That will be good

@hgg- welcome back :) I don't think Nandy is back yet, is she? Good to hear our SaMud won the best jodi award at SPA, based on what I am hearing at the forum.. Hope they win the jury award..
I had no idea this writer is simultaneously working on the script of that mythological daily soap..I haven't watched that show but I know its no less than a magnum opus..the show is doing well on the TRP charts too..I think.. so this guy seems to know how to strike a balance between quality and numbers.. though I feel, if the TRP system is abolished as per the latest news, then SC will be one show that will benefit..coz then the writers will not have to compromise on the content to get the numbers.. Back to our show, I think I will have to go against Nandy's popular hypothesis of separation post marriage, though I would have personally loved that to happen.. But I think the whole twist of LN insisting to go back to Dubai right before the marriage and bringing the baraat from there, is sort of an indication ... I hope I am wrong..

I think Master Chef India has ended..saw the winners pic at the telly talkies website.. Now with the 8pm slot vacant , I was wondering if it would be a good idea to move SC to that slot..of course in case there isn't any new show in the pipeline...

with the trp pressure off ... shouldn't matter that much if it remains at 7.30 pm.
moving to 8.00 pm will then just be more convenient for viewers since 7.30 pm is slightly early.

all said and none...channels will need a viewership rating system in the medium term...I am wondering whether the current move by all channels to stop subscribing to TAM trp ratings is part of a bigger business negotiation...and the same agency / other agency will be back with a new rating system.

even if some sort of new viewership rating system comes up...additionally new serials from competition channels at 8 pm would have been a bother for SC considering the current volatility it is experiencing (e.g. Ekta Kapoor is planning a Jodha Akbar at 8.00 pm sometime soon, there's the new Mahabharat from SP whose timeslot is not fixed yet)..

I guess SP will first wait for the current tracks / story to at least stablilize before the show even becomes eligible for a slot change purely on its own merits...failure to do so ends up with SP having 2 volatile slots (7.30 for SC replacement show & 8.00 for offkey SC)

Once again great analysis of the TRP issue. I agree that some rating system would be required as in your earlier TRP article, it emerged that sponsors would need some objective third party data.

So there might be something afoot, lets just hope it's more comprehensive than the present TRP system.

And true, changing a slot at this time may not be wise, 8:30pm I think will go to Mahabharat as Behna is to go off air by end July.

Lets hope SLB and team have had their practice rounds, lessons from the first 50plus episode have been learned and now we are all set for regaining the coherence and emotional intensity!
