Just got back from work...I saw what some one else had posted on this topic earlier ... That how can you expect me to work afte reminding me of Shirtless Badmash Singh Raizada???😃 Exactly my sentiments!!!
Love, Love this scene and not all my reasons for loving this scene have to do with our shirtless ASR... Although I could be fooling myself...😳
Love that he grimaces at the smell of Sarson ka tel!!
Love that he turns, what could have been an awkward moment, and make it casual with him impatiently ordering her to help him remove his shirt!!!
Love that Khushi is trying her level best (but failing) to look unperturbed !!
He is openly challenging and assertive and she is appealing hesitant yet at the same time tentatively moving forward...Love her trembling fingers...
Love his casual, uncharacteristic, lighthearted accusation about her praying to her Devi Maiya and her hurt response "Aapko kay lagata hai ?" And then the flip!!! It is not like we had not been able sense the atmosphere in the room was thick with their longing for each other... it was as if ASR took a dynamite and just when we thought it would explode, he snuffed it just enough to put it on a slow burn!!!
Someone had put together a 30 - 40 second clip of the flip ... I must have watched it at least million times if not more!!! 😛
He can read her like an open book... The first time he read her eyes is yet another unforgettable scene (Arshicritic.. Hint for you...maybe you will write about it someday??? )
" Di meray Laptop ka charger?" He is confused by what he reads in her open, expressive, innocent eyes ... Her helpless confusion as she is hopelessly falling in love with him and does not understand what is happening to her.
But there are times when he has doubted what he thinks he sees in her eyes... Remember he says to Lavanya " Sub kuch aankho mein deakh kar Janna nahi jata". He probably at that time thinks he was a fool for being a soppy romantic and reading stuff in her eyes...
But now, we are a long ways away from such doubts... He knows of her Dhak-Dhaks...know of their silent bonds... Knows that they are for Hamesha!!!
Who so ever wrote the loaded lines " Accha hua hum giray" deserves a big hug!!! Brilliant!!!
I have often wondered that did the director ask Barun to shake his head slightly at her confusion. He mumbles the words, almost to himself... And then at her question... Breaks out of his reverie and shakes his head...👏 Barun was flawless!!!
This is what Barun and Sanaya do... They take a playful, lighthearted scene and effortlessly layer it with undercurrents of scorching, sensual elements... All in one frame...👏
