Part 21

That same night romance filled the air, on one hand there was a successful suhagraat and on the other hand there were secretive meetings. Although Ayaan had gone home after the dinner, Humeira's thoughts and the moments they shared didn't let him sleep. He decided to make a sneaky visit to the Khan Mansion, but ruled it out.

Ayaan's POV:

What if she's sleeping? – Then it's no point going there. But I can still see her sleep peacefully. No, I should call before I go, but what if the call disturbs her sleep? Ok then I'll message. It won't be too disturbing and if she's awake she'll reply!

He messaged her…

*beep beep*

Sleep was more than miles away from her. She was in a relationship with the love of her life. Although she had just gone through tough days, but there was nothing she could do about that situation. She would have to move on sooner or later… and this was the perfect time. She could start new with him.

'Are you awake?'

'Yea, why?'

'I'm coming to see you'

'what?!?!'

'don't fall asleep, I'll be there in 5'

'you're crazy! What if you get caught'

'so? Everybody still thinks we're engaged'

'so are we, or aren't we'

'wait till I come'

Humeira's POV:

This is so not like Ayaan, what's going on? May be this is how love has affected him.

She blushed at that thought, he was now exactly the way she'd hoped for him to be all this time.

*knock knock*

There he was at her window. He was so used to sneaking into his brother's room that it felt so normal. Although this time when he arrived that's where he was headed, and then he became mindful that he was actually even hiding from them to meet Humeira. (Besides, none of the three would have enjoyed his presence) …

She let him in. "Ayaan, you're impossible. What if someone saw you?"

"Well, nobody ever does. I always sneak in here to meet bhaijaan, so it's normal" he gave her a wide grin. They both sat next to the window, hand-in-hand watching the moon. Her head rested on his shoulder. He kissed her forehead and she blushed. They chattered away sweet nothings for a couple hours, until it was time for him to go.

"Thanks for coming Ayaan"

"How could I not, I'd do anything for that smile of yours" yes, the flirt was back – but only for her.

"Call me when you get back, so I know you're home safe" She was definitely a worrier.

"hmmm" he nodded his head and gave her a peck on the cheek. And he left.

While the two brothers and their better halves were spending the night together, there was tension among Shireen and Rashid. It wasn't a fight, it wasn't a feeling, it was a buch of emotions and decisions to make.

"Rashid, with me you've never been happy and I don't like seeing you like that. I'd rather have you and Dilshaad bi happy. I've had my time with you and I will cherish it"

"Shireen, I agree with you but, I can't just leave you like that. Where will you go? What will you do? Will you be able to re-settle your life without any of us?"

"Don't worry about me; I have to pay for separating the two of you"

"Look, Asad and I have a lot of tension going on anyways… he may not even like me getting close to Dilshaad"

"I will talk to Asad, you don't have to worry about it"

"Shireen, if I do go back, I will still be fully responsible for your life. If you wish to stay with us, you may. If you wish to leave, you may but I will take care of your expenses. You are free to make your choices but always know that I support you. Infact all of us support you. I understand it's hard to leave the kids, which is why I would encourage you to stay with us."

"No Rashid, I have family in Ajmer. I will go there. I know it's hard to leave the kids, but they are old enough – they don't need me anymore. Besides, Dilshaad bi is an amazing mother. When my kids get married, I will come. But otherwise, it's hard for me to stay back. I hope you understand." With all the drama in the past days the innocence of Shireen had also been taken away. She understood the situation in a better light now. She was never the ill-wisher of their family but fate and influence made her do things that she now realized to be wrong.

"Well, if this is your decision, I support you. And I will talk to the whole family about it tomorrow." They were expected at the Khan's for dinner again until things would settle down.
